Quote of the Day

If most men and women were forced to rely upon physical charm to attract lovers, their sexual lives would be not only meager but in a youth-worshiping country like America, painfully brief.

Sometimes Life happens

Friday I got a call from Grand Lake where my cabin is that the windows were frosty and the heat must be out. I am partnered in the cabin with my mom and dad. so I have to do my part and go figure out the problem. My dad was working all weekend so I definitely got the better job to do.

Without planning or packing I drove the 100 miles to the cabin with my mother to get the fire going and work on the Furnace. 100 miles and two days & nights with mom is allot to handle. So on the way up the mountain I told her about the job offer I had to move to Phoenix. That was a mistake telling her about the offer when I was locked in a truck for over an hour. She went into paralysis by analysis. Wow, I should have known better.

Moms, I don’t think I will ever understand them. Now I have to tell my grandmother before mom does…

But other than that I fixed a couple things on the heater and rode the snowmobiles in a foot of fresh soft white powder. Thank god we have cable in the cabin and I was able to drink morning coffee with Fox…and see what they say is going on is the world.
Just got back into town and realized that two days away from the net is hard…
What is really going on in this world. Time to surf to see what people are talking about.

By the end of the trip today my mother was just repeating “as long as you are happy” I just don’t get that. I really have a hard time trying to be happy because I really believe in the quote that I got form a Marine years ago.

Don’t pursue happiness; pursue excellence

.

I am really happy when I am doing something very well and focusing on what I am doing.
Is there are reason people want to focus on being happy? Isn’t happiness a by product of who you are?
Just a thought.
