Ogre seems to have started the blog meme about if you have been there, done that.
bold the states you’ve been to, underline the states you’ve lived in and italicize the state you’re in now…
By the time I was discharged from the Marine Corps I had traveled for exercises and training too many of the states in the west and south east. Then from nearly 8 years of SAP consulting I have visited most of the rest of the lower 48 states. Maybe Ogre can do cities next to get a little more detail.

Wow, you’re the first person I’ve seen with more bold states than me! It was that consulting thing, because I know the USMC doesn’t have bases in all those states (I’ve been to almost all of their bases…)

It was totally the consulting thing. I would be on airplanes several times a week and did over 130,000 a year for five years running. I was involved in consulting sales and managing people on projects all over the country. The Marine Corps just sent me to other countries and east/west coast. I think we should do a meme about countries.

When you look at all the states, it’s amazing to count how many you’ve been to. I just did this and I am shocked at where I have been. Lots of memories.

I did mine the hard way, almost all by car, beginning in the 1920s. Missed West Virginia. Did 28 countries by ship, about the slowest way to go.
