Then, there’s the Partisan Answer (the whole truth, and nothing but the truth): “I’ve always been politically interested and aware. More so after the 2000 election, and even more after 9/11. Once the Republicans lost control of the Colorado House in November 2004, I realized that people like me need to look in the mirror and take responsilbility. It’s not enough to read, listen, shake our fists and write checks. We need to get off the bench and into the game. Do we believe what we believe enough to take action, or just enough to complain? I think it’s time to take action.”
