Where were you Michael? I was in my last days of MOS school. I had just been assigned to go to 2nd MarDiv and all of the guys in my class were jealous. I was the only one assigned to a Division. I remember being pissed when they declared cease-fire because it meant that I wouldn’t get to go over and serve. Oh what the young do not know!
I also remember after I arrived at 2nd MarDiv being stuck doing every field day duty you could possibly think of until the bulk of our Company returned . . . and the attitudes of the Marines coming back towards those of us who didn’t get to go.
Good times.
