Talk Radio is getting old

I love watching news to see what is going on in this world. I watch a lot of FOX (surprise, surprise) but I also watch quite a bit of CNN and cBS, ABC, and NBC to get some other takes on the issues that I hear about. When I am driving and in the office I listen to talk radio and switch between shows when they get to full of them selves (and that seems to be happening more and more) I also try to listen to Liberal radio shows like Air America but get sick of the hate in less than 5 min.

The Point I am making here is that the Talk shows are getting out of hand with the 60 second lead in and the noisy blab between when someone is making a case or commercials are telling us about the wonders of Viagra or Ciallis. I heard from one person that the 3 hour show consists of 6 17 minute segments. 13 minutes of each 30 minutes is commercials. That is 26 min/ hour or 78 minutes/ show of commercials.

As if that isn’t bad enough with the poor commercials they are going crazy with the self promotion and the sound bites. The sounds bites are OK but they are getting more air time that the hosts or anyone other than commercials. I might have to go back to CD’s.

If you listen to Rush, he has pretty short lead ins and he talks to people for most of his shows. I disagree with him sometimes but (Butt Monkey) he presents a chance to talk and engage on the topic. I love Sean, Rusty, Hugh, and Laura but the crews seem to be taking over. Or they are just not prepared for the total time of the shows. I seem to change stations every time a commercial comes on and miss the rest of the show. This is because it will be 5 minutes before they come back on and continue the talk and that five minutes suck.

Also when the topic is some asshole superstar (What ever that is) in in court for some stupid act and the trials are covered by every darn show, most with the same guests. I am tired of the court review trash. who cares. let them hang in peace. I would be ok if a 1 minute update in the 3 hour show was all that was spent on it. but more than that and I change the station.

Can we get the talk Radio to talk and stop with the rest of the garbage? I know they need commercials to pay the costs..

Two years ago today

Two years ago today Operation Iraqi Freedom started the liberation of Iraq. The leftist were all in an uproar about how we would all die and the Anti-Americans human shields were talking about how they are saving the Iraqi people. And how the limp wrist French (spit) (spit) were really helping Sadam and his terrorists kill his own people so he could continue the Oil for Palaces program.

Now Iraqis are under self rule and have the beginnings of Democracy. What I don’t understand is why the Anti-Americans Democrats are stuck in the mud about the success of the Iraqi people (America Started it) and the hard work that they are doing there.

I know the Socialist left Democrats HATE everything pro-America and President Bush in particular, but why they focus on us loosing when President bush focuses on other people.

Safia expressed the gratitude of the Iraqi nation when she embraced the mom of Marine Corps Sergeant Byron Norwood who was killed in the assault on Fallujah.

And like a domino run, Freedom is spreading across the middle east. The left complains about the problems all the time. I want to know solutions to these problems and not just complaints.

If you are a Liberal, What would you do to:

1) Keep America Safe

2) Keep America Strong

3) Improve America in any way

Triathlon Training again

I went for a 25 mile ride this morning. I was trying to keep cadence up above 85 and the speed as fast as I can. I think I like the nice mornings here in Phoenix. I love riding at the break of dawn. it gets me ready for races witch always start at like 0630 or 0700. I have not been able to train very much the last couple months like I wanted, but now I am going to start again. I need to find some Triathlon’s in Phoenix or San Diego this summer.

It is about 60 degrees already this morning. Now I feel good and need to head out and attack the rest of the day.

Quote of the Day

One of the things that makes our military the best in the world is the certain knowledge of each soldier, sailor, airman, and Marine that they can always count on their comrades should they need help - that they will never be abandoned.
