Great Boat, Crappy Name.

How many people are with me that Jimmy “peanuts” Carter Sucks?

Great Boat and the Crew carries on with honor that the Man it is named after never could.
Here is a quick round up of posts on this topic.

Raven, at And Rightly so Just Loves Peanut boy

John at Carmichael’s Position doesn’t like it.

Bubblehead at has lots of positive comments and can rightly defend the boat.

WillyShake at Unconsidered Trifles has a lighter side comment on what the name means.

Austin at UrbanGrounds “thought it was a joke”.

whoever it is at Technicolor Western thinks it might be “A yellow-bellied submarine”

Mike at Sworn Enemy ” This it is like a “high-speed paddleboat”

Darth Misha at The Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler understads that the Navy couldn’t name it “Incompetent, Bungling Suckweasel” in his “honor”, but it would’ve been more accurate.

This boat and crew have more class & capabilities than the man ever did while he was president.

When history talks about success and the name Jimmy Carter they will be talking about the Navy and this attach boat and crew.

When history talks about Jimmy Carter and Failure they will be talking about the man and his presidency.

What’s in a name anyway when you have Americans on board?

Ever since Tailhook, the Navy has been caving to liberals. The Seawolf class are great boats. Too bad we will not be building any more after the Carter.

I still can’t get over the fact they named a NPS after Carter. Talk about a joke. USS Jimmy Carter. YUCK.
