It sure was a bad week. If there is such a thing as good coming out of Terri’s fight, it would be that it got people thinking about the issue of living wills and advanced directives. What is happening to Terri happens every day in nursing homes and hospitals all over the country. It’s nothing new. Death-by-dehydartion is what is BAD. There are better ways to carry out people’s wishes (if the wishes are really known).
