    I hope he remembers that when he’s relying on computers to monitor his heart rate and breathing as he draws closer to his last day.

    He doesn’t deserve to be lauded or quoted.

    Andy Rooney is a fossil who should be forgotten by society and we’d all be better for it.

    Medical science and technology have merged for sure, and they keep finding more miracle mmachines to do the things
    more quickly and with less error.
    But we still use our hands and hearts and souls to keep people alive, healthy.
    Nothing can ever replace the human touch when it comes to life.

    Crowe - quite right, but the comment is amusing and partially true … as I sit here commenting on a blog (even one as good as this one) the irony is palpable, yes?
