“Between 45 and 47 votes against and he’ll think it’s a victory”
Senate Likely to Confirm Bolton as U.N. Ambassador
Democrats in the U.S. Senate have conceded that U.N. ambassador nominee John Bolton will likely be confirmed, Reuters reported yesterday (see GSN, June 1).
When asked if Democrats had enough votes to filibuster the nomination, top Foreign Relations Committee Democrat Joseph Biden of Delaware said, “I’m going to be completely straight with you. I’m not at all certain we do.”
President George W. Bush “will probably be able to win the vote somewhere between 45 and 47 votes against and he’ll think it’s a victory,” [emphasis mine] Biden said. “He is making a mistake, a serious mistake, not only institutionally, but for his own naked self interest.”
55 votes to confirm is a Victory!
Biden is a moron. This is good news unless the 14 special idiots figure out a way to snatch a failure out of a victory.

Biden gets dumber and dumber with age, doesn’t he? Many times when you see him say something that sounds stupid, you know there’s an agenda. But he’s really losing it when he refuses to admit that when more people vote FOR something, then it IS a victory. What a maroon.

I know what he’s sayin. Last month I went to a Dodgers-Giants game. The Giants finished scoring 2 runs to the Dodgers 1 run. What pissed me off was that the Giants thought it was a victory.

Hey Michael,
Biden … what a hoot. I still remember the ol’ plagerizer. Man … another great Demo statesman. Who’s listening, any way?
