I like the other good Senator from AZ

The detainees at Guantanamo are not in a legal limbo any more than any other prisoners in any other war were in limbo when they were captured. International law allows any nation the right to detain enemy combatants for the duration of a conflict. The primary reason is to prevent them from killing more Americans, and, secondarily, to gather useful intelligence.

The Supreme Court has since ruled that because Guantanamo is under U.S. control, some traditional American legal procedures apply, including the right of each detainee to have his status reviewed. After that ruling, a special commission was established to determine whether, in fact, all of the detainees were enemy combatants, and a number of them were released. We know that at least a dozen went right back to fighting us, because they were subsequently captured again on the battlefield.

Stupid is as Stupid Does. but Senator McCain just joined the Moonbats in crying for closure of the base because it makes America Strong Weak. We should bow down to the Islamic NUTS. otherwise they might hurt us.

A handful of politicians have even raised the idea of shutting down Guantanamo, because of its “negative symbolism.” But as even vociferous critic Sen. Pat Leahy (D-VT) has conceded, “The question isn’t Guantanamo by itself. Obviously, if we’re holding people, we’re going to hold them somewhere.”

Exactly. Attacking the United States should bring serious consequences, including imprisonment, if we can catch you.

Now this is a Leader I can put my support behind.

Not like this other Senator.
I respect Senator McCain, he is out of touch with America, he has been in power to long. he needs to retire or go over to the Dumocrats party because that is closer to what he votes. (not that they are consistent or anything.

Senator J. McCain

“We can no longer afford to bury our heads in the sand and expect this problem to go away. It is time we dispensed with partisan politics, and put human lives and our national security above special interest groups. I hold no illusions. Reforming our nation’s immigration laws will not be an easy task. This will be a long and arduous process, however we must not let the difficulty dissuade us from trying. I am committed to this issue and to working towards a balanced solution to this crisis.”

Is this what you wrote while under the influence of a bottle? It’s not bad. You can tell you’re a little worked up about things but that isn’t a big deal.
