Current takes no responsibility

I went to the current web site to see if I could find the channel for Current.
after filling in the form (sorry All for using your name and email address)
this is what they gave me.

So close but yet so far. Here we are in the same city and we can’t even meet. Thanks to Cox Communications we’re going to have to remain online friends for now. Don’t forget to visit the Studio to send us your stuff. If it’s good, and your peers think so too, you can see it climb the charts online. And if it airs we can send you a clip or you can watch online.

WOW, besides the station trying to blame Cox, it does not even develop its own stuff…

THE MARINE

We all came together,
Both young and old
To fight for our freedom,
To stand and be bold.

In the midst of all evil,
We stand our ground,
And we protect our country
From all terror around.

Peace and not war,
Is what some people say.
But I’ll give my life,
So you can live the American way.

I give you the right
To talk of your peace.
To stand in your groups,
and protest in our streets.

But still I fight on,
I don’t bitch, I don’t whine.
I’m just one of the people
Who is doing your time.

I’m harder than nails,
Stronger than any machine.
I’m the immortal soldier,
I’m a U.S. MARINE!

So stand in my shoes,
And leave from your home.
Fight for the people who hate you,
With the protests they’ve shown.

Fight for the stranger,
Fight for the young.
So they all may have,
The greatest freedom you’ve won.

Fight for the sick,
Fight for the poor
Fight for the cripple,
Who lives next door.

But when your time comes,
Do what I’ve done.
For if you stand up for freedom,
You’ll stand when the fight’s done.

Hey Dad,

Do me a favor and label this “The Marine” and send it to everybody on your email list. Even leave this letter in it. I want this rolling all over the US; I want every home reading it. Every eye seeing it. And every heart to feel it. So can you please send this for me? I would but my email time isn’t that long and I don’t have much time anyway. You know what Dad? I wondered what it would be like to truly understand what JFK said in His inaugural speech.

“When the time comes to lay down my life for my country, I do not cower from this responsibility. I welcome it.” Well, now I know. And I do. Dad, I welcome the opportunity to do what I do. Even though I have left behind a beautiful wife, and I will miss the birth of our first born child, I would do it 70 times over to fight for the place that God has made for my home. I love you all and I miss you very much.

I wish I could be there when Sandi has our baby, but tell her that I love her, and Lord willing, I will be coming home soon. Give Mom a great big hug from me and give one to yourself too.

Aaron

Jimmy Carter: You Embarrass Me

The one time peanut farmer, turned President of the US is now a Sunday school teacher. And he’s at it again. Bashing America and the Bush administration about the Gitmo “embarrassment”.

BIRMINGHAM, England — Former President Carter said Saturday the detention of terror suspects at the Guantanamo Bay Naval base was an embarrassment and had given extremists an excuse to attack the United States.

Carter also criticized the U.S.-led war in Iraq as “unnecessary and unjust.”

I think Jiminy Carter is an embarrassment to America, to our service members and to all freedom loving people.
The Nobel prize winner of has-been days is the king of appeasement.

“I think what’s going on in Guantanamo Bay and other places is a disgrace to the U.S.A.,” he told a news conference at the Baptist World Alliance’s centenary conference in Birmingham, England. “I wouldn’t say it’s the cause of terrorism, but it has given impetus and excuses to potential terrorists to lash out at our country and justify their despicable acts.”

And Jiminy is the expert on this stuff now isn’t he? Is this the same man who sat around for months in a state of confusion and inaction after our fellow citizens were taken hostage? Is this the same Carter who placed Castro high up on a pedestal as a caring man? Is this the same man who claimed the recent elections in Iran were better managed than the US elections?

Critics of President Bush’s administration have long accused the U.S. government of unjustly detaining terror suspects at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base on the southeastern tip of Cuba. Hundreds of men have been held indefinitely at the prison, without charge or access to lawyers.

“What has happened at Guantanamo Bay … does not represent the will of the American people,” Carter said Saturday. “I’m embarrassed about it, I think its wrong. I think it does give terrorists an unwarranted excuse to use the despicable means to hurt innocent people.”

I think allowing these terrorists to run free could result in the deaths of many innocent people, in America and in other freedom loving nations. And did he take a poll of the American people to justify that statement about not representing the will of the people? Maybe the people of his liking- liberal, limpy dicked, lunatic losers such as himself feel this way, but not all Americans. At least he calls the terrorists what they are…and he does admit that the terrorists use Gitmo as an UNWARRANTED excuse for their actions. He’s a rank above some of his peers.

Earlier this month, Carter called for the Guantanamo prison to be shut down, saying reports of abuses there were an embarassment to the United States. He also said that the United States needs to make sure no detainees are held incommunicado and that all are told the charges against them.

Carter, who won the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize, has been an outspoken critic of the Iraq war.

“I thought then, and I think now, that the invasion of Iraq was unnecessary and unjust. And I think the premises on which it was launched were false,” he said Saturday.

No I think Jiminy is just looking to re-write history about himself. He’s trying to leave a legacy that doesn’t include visions of him being a failure as President…he’s trying to give himself an extreme makeover in his old age.
It’s funny how many liberals find themselves in need of these makeovers isn’t it?

ENTJ

Extroverted Intuitive Thinking Judging

I don’t care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can’t control it, why look?”
ENTJs have a natural tendency to marshall and direct. This may be expressed with the charm and finesse of a world leader or with the insensitivity of a cult leader. The ENTJ requires little encouragement to make a plan. One ENTJ put it this way… “I make these little plans that really don’t have any importance to anyone else, and then feel compelled to carry them out.” While “compelled” may not describe ENTJs as a group, nevertheless the bent to plan creatively and to make those plans reality is a common theme for NJ types.

ENTJs are often “larger than life” in describing their projects or proposals. This ability may be expressed as salesmanship, story-telling facility or stand-up comedy. In combination with the natural propensity for filibuster, our hero can make it very difficult for the customer to decline.

But this part I don’t know about…

TRADEMARK: — “I’m really sorry you have to die.” (I realize this is an overstatement. However, most Fs and other gentle souls usually chuckle knowingly at this description.)

Yep, that sounds about right.

ENTJs are decisive. They see what needs to be done, and frequently assign roles to their fellows. Few other types can equal their ability to remain resolute in conflict, sending the valiant (and often leading the charge) into the mouth of hell. When challenged, the ENTJ may by reflex become argumentative. Alternatively (s)he may unleash an icy gaze that serves notice: the ENTJ is not one to be trifled with.

yea, what that said.
OK, how close to reality is this, I think it is pretty close.

Character

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

Power

Weapons are an important factor in war, but not the decisive factor; it is people, not things, that are decisive. The contest of strength is not only a contest of military and economic power, but also a contest of human power and morale. Military and economic power is necessarily wielded by people.

McCain Gearing up

John McCain is gearing up for his Presidential run in 2008. I used to like him but not anymore. He plays both sides and he doesn’t represent conservative values. He can’t seem to take a stand on much of anything these days. I guess he’s just to wishy washy for my tastes. (We all know Michael really LIKES McCain).

WASHINGTON — Sen. John McCain, often mentioned as a possible GOP presidential candidate in 2008, has reactivated his political action committee, known as Straight Talk America.

“He’s inundated with invitations and requests from candidates at all levels of the ballot as well as state and local party committees,” a McCain political adviser, John Weaver, said Wednesday.

Straight Talk America?? Why doesn’t he just talk straight? Instead of telling everyone what they want to hear and never really talking about anything new and different.

The committee will help pay for McCain’s travel when he gives speeches and allow him to contribute to candidates and party committees. Weaver said McCain’s committee was reactivated in mid-July.

McCain, who ran for president in 2000, fares well in early presidential polling among Republican voters. He dismisses questions about 2008, saying he will wait until after the 2006 election to decide about his political future.

He’s so full of shit. Of course he knows he’s going to RUN. I love these idiot politicians who play these games. he should run with Shillary-they have so much in common.

Did you go to school in Massachusetts? Do you know what your state looks like?
Some people don’t! Must be the quality schooling in Massachusetts.

Fire Arms

Cannons and fire-arms are cruel and damnable machines; I believe them to have been the direct suggestion of the Devil. If Adam had seen in a vision the horrible instruments his children were to invent, he would have died of grief.
