It’s Great Britain — not called ‘Great’ for nothing
“As Brits, we’ll carry on — it doesn’t scare us at all,” said tour guide Michael Cahill, 37. “Look, loads of people are walking down the streets. It’s Great Britain — not called ‘Great’ for nothing.”
And the spirit of a great people carries on…The British people. Their towns and cities were bombed during WW2,
through years of “war” with the IRA, and now, Extreme Islam is knocking at the gates.
Voices from the scene:
“The most extreme thing I first noticed was that there was someone in bits in the road,” said Dr. Laurence Buckman. “The front of BMA house was completely splattered with blood and not much of the bus was left.”
“You could see the carriage opposite was completely gutted,” he said. “There were some people in real trouble.”
“The car quickly filled with smoke and a lot of people used their umbrellas to try to break the windows so that we could get air. A mother with her two small children sat next to me and cried desperately.”
The terrorists must be proud of themselves. They waited for the perfect moment to unleash their horror. Britain is in the spotlight-hosting the G-8 Summit; they made the cut for hosting the Olympics in 2012. What a good time to kill innocent people and harm many others. Just like September 11th, when everyone was just going about their daily routines of life, worrying about getting to work on time to pay the bills…people just living their lives…when the murderous freaks crawl out of their caves to kill. One wonders how many of the people who were killed and hurt would have attended some of the G-8 protest rallies being held all over London; or how many of them were sympathetic towards the terrorists themselves. One thing is for sure…the good people of Great Britain are no longer living in the pre 9-11 world. They just caught up with America. Let’s hope they rally behind the War on Terror more now, instead of running into hiding like Spain.
We stand united with our friends in Britain.
