Check out Nuke Mecca, a blog that you have to go see. Mean background there.
I voted for Tom, I would vote for Tom again
The host asked Tancredo, “Worst case scenario, if they do have these nukes inside the border, what would our response be?”
The congressman replied: “There are things you could threaten to do before something like that happens, and then you have to do afterwards, that are quite draconian.”
“Well,” Tancredo continued, “what if you said something like, ‘If this happens in the United States and we determine that it is the result of extremist, fundamentalist Muslims, you could take out their holy sites.’”
Campbell: “You’re talking about bombing Mecca?”
Tancredo: “Yeah. What if you said, we recognize that this is the ultimate threat to the United States, therefore this is the ultimate response.”
Hugh Hewitt thinks it was wrong or at least a blunder.
I think we spell it out. They have already attacked us, don’t forget about that.

The words of a wise man: “The time for excuses for terrorism is over…” So says British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw. And he’s right. A recent report from two “think tanks” appears to me to be promoting appeasement as a way to deal with terrorism.
Britain’s close alliance with the United States has put it at particular risk of terrorist attack, two leading think tanks said Monday, but a government minister said the nation would not have been safer by staying out of wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The continuing debate about the wisdom of Britain’s military commitments has intensified after the bombings of three London underground trains and a bus on July 7 killed 55 people, including the four suicide bombers, and injured some 700 others.
The Royal Institute of International Affairs and the Economic and Social Research Council said the situation in Iraq had given “a boost to the al-Qaida network’s propaganda, recruitment and fund-raising” and provided an ideal training ground for al-Qaida-linked terrorists.
This is a bunch of BS. al Qaida doesn’t need any excuses for perpetuating their attacks against any nation that is free. They hate all of us. Sure, they use the war in Iraq for their “recruitment drives”. Before the war though, they cited our very freedoms and values as an excuse.
Defense Secretary John Reid, however, argued that terrorism had to be confronted.
“The idea that somehow by running away from the school bully, then the bully will not come after you is a thesis that is known to be completely untrue by every kid in the playground and it is also refuted by every piece of historical evidence that we have,” Reid said in a British Broadcasting Corp. radio interview.
“The time for excuses for terrorism is over,” British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said at an EU meeting in Brussels, Belgium. “The terrorists have struck across the world, in countries allied with the United States, backing the war in Iraq and in countries which had nothing whatever to do with the war in Iraq.”
Everyone knows how the bully operates. They seek out those who appear to be weaker and pick on them. They push them around and prod them and get others to join the fun. But when the bullied get pissed off enough, they fight back and usually win. al Qaida is starting to learn this. Unfortunately it has been via the hard way.
The Sunni Council said the Quran, the Muslim holy book, forbade suicide attacks.
“Who has given anyone the right to kill others? It is a sin. Anyone who commits suicide will be sent to hell,” said Mufti Muhammad Gul Rehman Qadri, the council chairman. “What happened in London can be seen as a sacrilege. It is a sin to take your life or the life of others.”
The council said Muslims should not use “atrocities being committed in Palestine and Iraq” to justify attacks.
“We equally condemn those who may have been behind the masterminding of these acts, those who incited these youths in order to further their own perverted ideology,” Qadri said.
It’s good that so many Muslim groups have come out to condemn the 7-7-05 attacks in London. More of this needs to happen, and states like Britain cannot afford to run and hide in an effort to appease. They cannot allow the bully to push them around because the bully will never be their friend. Bullies use others to promote themselves, as Extreme Islam has shown with Spain. Europe has been a target for al Qaida for years now…it has nothing to do with any alliances to the US. It’s about freedom vs. Extreme Islam.

The FBI has been doing something right. Pissing off the leftist agenda-promoting groups is a good thing because I believe these groups are Anti-American. The actions and statements coming from the ACLU and Greenpeace are disturbing at best, and downright dangerous at worst. I hope the FBI is also monitoring groups like MOOREON MoveOn.Org and ACT.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The FBI has thousands of pages of records in its files relating to the monitoring of civil rights, environmental and similar advocacy groups, the Justice Department has acknowledged.
The organizations, including the American Civil Liberties Union and Greenpeace, are suing for the release of the documents. The organizations contend that the material will show that they have been subjected to scrutiny by FBI task forces set up to combat terrorism.
The FBI has identified 1,173 pages related to the ACLU and 2,383 pages about Greenpeace, but it needs at least until February to process the ACLU files and until June to review the Greenpeace documents, the government said in a filing in U.S. District Court in Washington.
The FBI has not said specifically what those pages contain. The ACLU’s executive director, Anthony Romero, said the disclosure indicates that the FBI is monitoring organizations that are engaging in lawful conduct.
Go ahead and sue for the release of the records. Make a big stink. Expose to the country what you’ve been up to.
Lawful conduct doesn’t mean it’s the right conduct, and someone has to keep tabs on those who are stirring the cess pool of terrorism in this country. The ACLU is the one of the main ingredients to this raw sewer tank.
“I know for an absolute fact that we have not been involved in anything related to promoting terrorism, and yet the government has collected almost 1,200 pages on our activities,” Romero said. “Why is the ACLU now the subject of scrutiny from the FBI?”
John Passacantando, Greenpeace’s U.S. executive director, said his group is a forceful, but peaceful, critic of the Bush administration’s war and environmental policies.
“This administration has a history of using its powers against its peaceful critics. If, in fact, the FBI has been deployed to help in that effort, that would be quite shocking,” Passacantando said.
You had to ask. WHY is the ACLU now subject to FBI eyes? Because most of your actions and policies do not promote American national security. In fact, you are a dangerous enitity that enables would be terrorists to use our system to destroy us, IDIOTS. (Why don’t people SEE this. Are the that blind and stupid?) (Guess so.) And this administration is doing what is should be doing: Looking out for the American people. (Not the Islamafreakoids, the Mexicans…)
Justice Department and FBI spokesmen declined to comment, citing the ongoing case. The FBI has denied singling out individuals or groups for surveillance or investigation based solely on activities protected by the Constitution’s guarantees of free speech.
Officials have said agents adhere strictly to Justice Department guidelines requiring evidence of criminal activity or indications that a person may know something about a crime.
I don’t think the FBI is doing this for NO reason. Something is going on behind the scenes at the ACLU and all the other dumb leftist groups. Now these groups are squealing like struck little pigs…who have been caught in the act of doing wrong.
Let’s hope this gives warning to ALL the anti-American groups out there…we’re watching you.
