And you thought Marines were Deadly before

Change in rifle training sharpens Corps’ short range, quick reaction skills
U.S. MARINE CORPS FORCES PACIFIC, CAMP H. M. SMITH, Hawaii (Sept. 20, 2005) — Marines will now have to qualify with an M16-A2 service rifle by shooting the Entry Level Rifle Course as opposed to the current Sustainment Level Rifle Course of fire currently in use, starting Oct. 1.
These course changes are more demanding to qualify as at expert level. Yep, the best just got better not by claiming they are beter but by raising the bar and chalanging everyone to reach for the higher goal.
“I don’t care what rank you are. You need to grab a weapon, go out and shoot this course of fire and you’ll realize how much fun it is, how much you’re learning and how quickly you’re developing your skills,” said Witherspoon.
and we love to destroy things. remember Lt. Gen. James Mattis when he said this:
“Actually, it’s a lot of fun to fight. You know, it’s a hell of a hoot. … It’s fun to shoot some people. I’ll be right up front with you, I like brawling.”
Doing what Marines do!

Back during the ‘Nam era a marine friend of mine{he did 2 tours over there} had a cool jacket on the back of which was emblazoned,
“When you kill for money you’re a mercenary,
When you kill for fun you’re a sadist,
When you kill for both you’re a Marine.”
Right on!
