Daisy, the true southern gentlman

Simply shreads the latest SCOTUS nomination and leaves her with a smile on her face.

And … she brings no personal background that convinces me that she will withstand the assault from the Left that will surely come once on the Court (assuming, of course, that she is even a judicial conservative). The pressure is immense, and absent a strong personal character with proven ideological stability, we are likely to get another Kennedy, O’Connor, or Souter.

The way I see it, this is a lame duck option that sucks. I didn’t support this president to put a liberal on the court, and not even a Moderate (by someone’s definition).

Miss Miers nomination to me is a total let down. I don’t care if she has been President Bushes White House consul, she has not shown the world that she will uphold the constitution or whither she will mold it into the current whim of political opinion. I don’t want her to answer if she will uphold abortion,

I do want to see some proof that she falls into the fact based world of conservatives before I will support this nomination.

I am 100% in agreement with you on this. When you see the liberals on the senate getting behind her right away, there is something SERIOUSLY wrong here. This one is going to be a tough sell…I am already preparing my letters to our representatives to not support her nomination.
