Enough

Michelle Malkin has dealt with more than her fair share of stupid leftist and slapped them down with facts and knowledge. Her husband helps a couple hours a week.
in comparison:

Al Franken needs a dozen, overpaid Harvard-trained research assistants.

That might be a little generous. The greedy people that work for Al Franken give a bad name to even the elementary school they went to.

but isn’t the left supposed to be open minded and loving of minorities and women?

The racist and sexist “yellow woman doing a white man’s job” knock is a tiresome old attack from impotent liberals that I’ve tolerated a long time.

I guess it is only if you fall in line with the wako point of view. I am glad that Michelle is on our side.

Impediments to Counterterrorism Efforts in the United States

Why was the PATRIOT Act enacted? Why does the CIA operate secret detention and intelligence facilities? Why has the number of National Security Letters issued by the FBI increased significantly? The answer is simple…to preserve national security and prevent another 9/11.

Apparently, select interest groups in the United States have either lost sight of this undisputable fact or have chosen to disregard it in deference to their parochial agendas. Unfortunately, over the past few weeks, considerable public attention focused on the PATRIOT Act, CIA secret facilities and FBI National Security Letters…dangerously casting each in the wrong light and threatening their continuity.

the whole thing is worth the read

Bridge for Nobody

Tancredo Blasts Colorado’s ‘Bridge for Nobody’

This is funny as hell:

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO) blasted Colorado’s “vegetated wildlife overpass” as an egregious example of the Democrats’ pork-barrel spending. The $500,000 down payment on the nearly $5 million overpass, which was approved as part of the Transportation Appropriations bill today, will, apparently, serve animals who want to cross over I-70 near Vail.

I might say ok to something like this if we could hunt on the overpass? (NOT)

Who added this pork to the transpertation bill: Mark Udall!~

“So Udall wants a specific proposal on how to cut the budget deficit? He should SLICE his animal bridge, so we can use the money for Colorado’s critical infrastructure projects, not a critter carrier. I respect Rep. Udall’s commitment to the environment, but not with this type of project,” said Tancredo. “Democrats whine about budget deficits, yet they obstruct government cuts and continue to spend like it’s going out of style.” Udall voted against the House’s reconciliation package last night.

But Rep Mark Udall is really trying to cut pork, but like most democraps, Just not his own PORK projects

Despite the pork project, Rep. Mark Udall, who pushed for the bridge, has talked tough on the budget. In September, he proposed a substitute for the line-item veto, dubbed the “Stimulating Leadership In Cutting Expenditures” (SLICE) Act. About the SLICE Act, Udall said, “I think there’s an urgent need for both the Bush administration and Congress to face hard reality and not continue with budget policies based on defying the laws of fiscal gravity…It is past time for a serious debate about specific proposals for ways to dig ourselves out of the deficit hole.”

go look at the picture.
