Last week I was able to ignite a
firestorm of fear and criticism of the Bush
administration. This week, I brought not one, but two!
Two lifelong Republicans, to prove just how right I
am!
About a week ago, I brought to our great nation’s
attention about Arabs leasing our ports! Republicans
and Democrats joined hands to demand the Bush
administration rescind the deal.
I decided to investigate even further and found out
more. Not only is Dubai Ports, an Arabic owned company
leasing our ports, but other foriegn companies lease
our ports as well. I asked myself one very serious
question “Why would Arabic people want to come to
America?” We all know the answer to that! To bomb us,
that’s what Arabic people do, they bomb people! So I
wanted to know what they were trying to import. It
turns out they were planning to import things like
hummus, oil, and gasoline.
People, I know that you aren’t science experts, but
gasoline is highly flammable. If you don’t believe me,
I brought a scientist here with me today to confirm
this, and not only is he a scientist, but he’s also a
lifelong Republican scientist. Arabics can use the gas
to make molotov cocktails. They could even fill up a
car with gas and run it into our banks and blow them
up, ruining our economy!
I researched even further. I found out that Arabic
people are already in America! What’s worse, they own
gasoline stations! That’s a lot of molotov cocktails
that they are in control of. No gas station should be
ownd by foriegn people, especially Arabics!
This encouraged me even more! I also found out that
Arabic people own gas stations in Washington DeeCee!
That’s close to the Pentagon where we keep our nuclear
secrets! Bush has dropped the ball on American
security! This is an American trajedy! This can’t go
on like this.
Then today comes this story that there is ‘brown
snow’ falling in Colorado! I’ll bet George Bush
was reading to five year old children when this
happened! Arabs could just fall out of the sky,
disguising theirselves with brown snow! It takes great
Democrats like Cindy Sheehan and Micheal Moore to ride
across America screaming “The Arabs are coming! The
Arabs are coming!” like Paul Revere, before George W.
Bush does anything about Arabs invading our country!
George W. Bush has threatened our security ever since
he’s became President. If he wasn’t President in 2001,
we would have never had the 9-11 attacks. He is not
doing anything for the security of the nation.
Let’s review George W. Bush’s record on American
security. He’s passed the so called Patriot Act! He
had the terminal security racially profiling Arabics!
The audacity to single out people because the color of
their skin or because of their heritage. Then he
starts a war in Afghanistan and Iraq. We shouldn’t be
fighting terrorist in the Middle East, we should be
fighting them here at home!
He was wiretapping average Americans simply because
they had contact with Islamic terrorist organizations.
Now, he’s letting Arabic’s come into our country. This
is just typical Bush. He’s shown absolutely no concern
to American safety. First he discriminates against
Arabics, then he lets Arabics come through the same
ports that we send out nuclear reactors!
Don’t forget how the Department of Homeland security
let hard working Americans die in New Orleans! Then
Republicans accused the people still in New Orleans of
being welfare recipients. They can’t even call them by
their real titles. To you Republicans out there: they
are not welfare Recipients! They are Professional
Daytime Talkshow Analyst! It’s a very difficult job.
They have to keep up with Jerry Springer, Oprah
Winfrey, and Montel Williams without getting them
mixed up. It’s a lot easier than making shady deals on
the golf course.
Bush can not lead this country back to the greatness
that it once was. We need Democrats in power. We will
do something about our ports and not let Arabics in
our ports. We won’t racially profile Arabics in our
airports. We’ll stop Arabics from taking gas stations
away from hard working Americans here at home. Why
should Americans have the hard work of being a
Professional Daytime Talkshow Analyst instead of the
more profitable and easier job of owning a gas
station

LOL Tom Tancredo is such a colorful guy- I want to meet him.
Republican Juan Botero, a consultant who once served in the Colombian army, announced Friday that he is running against U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo for the 6th Congressional District seat.
And while he says he will conduct a positive campaign, that isn’t stopping him from coming out swinging at his opposition.
“Tom Tancredo is a one-trick pony that is obsessed with the issue of immigration,” Botero said. “He has neglected many of the other issues in his district and that’s what makes him one of the worst legislators of our time.”
A one trick pony??? Maybe. I’m not abreast of the politics of CO (we have more than enough issues here in New Enlgand to keep up on…) but I hear Tancredo’s name often. He’s been to NH and yes, ILLEGAL immigration is an issue important to so many. Tancredo has weighed in on foreign affairs and the utterly disgraceful pork spending by his fellow members of the House.
In a statement, Tancredo, who was elected to Congress in 1998, responded by saying: “That’s the great thing about America. Anybody can run. The more the merrier.”

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - The Marine Corps formally entered the world of military special operations Friday by establishing a separate command devoted to small unit tactics and stealthy reconnaissance.
It’s work they’ve done as far back as World War II but never before as a part of the U.S. Special Operations Command.

I was amazed how only the provocative and civil-war-style quotes were published today in the newspapers. Almost no newspaper showed how great, it appeared to us, the solidarity among Iraqis was yesterday. It is true that Sunni mosques were attacked by unknown men yesterday, and some Sunnis were killed. But that wasn’t the only thing happened as a reaction. Newspapers should have been neutral, as we were taught, and show both sides. Sunnis, Shiites, Kurds, Arabs, Christians, Sabians, Turkumans, and others publicly condemned the attack, but no one wanted to show the truth. I am not saying there will be no riots in Iraq to react to the shrine attack. I am not saying there weren’t mosques that were attacked yesterday and burned down. I am not saying that Shiites and Sunnis kissed and hugged after the attack yesterday. All what I am saying is that the news made Iraqis look like if they were fighting each other widely in the streets, which is not true. The news only made Iraqis sound like barbarians killing each other. There are barbarian Iraqis, like other people in the world, I am not saying all Iraqis are perfect and compete with angels in their manners. But why when anything good happens, they show the bad side of it too in their stories, but when any bad thing to happen, they only write about it and not the good sides around it?
All expect civil war in Iraq, which might happen although I don’t believe it would. Therefore, they want to contribute to the civil war’s first step. Shame on you all! Shame on the “free and honest†press!
Sexual harassment. The big bad crime of our work life. A by product of the rabid feminist movement. And once again it’s men who get hurt the most with laws and policy regarding anything sexual. And anything not sexual. While I don’t condone the quid pro quos bulloney, almost all the other “cases” involving harassment are bogus…
Most people assume sexual harassment is about reining in cheesy lotharios who grope their colleagues in the mailroom or traffic in sexual quid pro quos. However, sexual harassment law goes far beyond such behaviors, which most of us agree obviously need to be discouraged and punished. But because of the subjective elasticity of the terms used in sexual harassment law, a whole range of other behaviors, many not having much to do with sex per se, are now subjected to the investigative and punitive powers of the state.
Yes…many of the charges and investigations are stupid and totally not about true harassment. The boss walks by and he says- “Good morning Miss”— could land him in hot water. Or he could do something really BAD like strike up a conversation with a woman, OR even worse, compliment her new haircut or outfit. SIN. Just sin.
Consider the following, from the Chancellor of the California State University system Charles Reed’s Executive Order 927, issued in January “in response to recent legal and legislative developments in the area of anti-harassment lawsâ€: “Harassment occurs when unwelcome conduct is engaged in because of a protected status of an individual, which include [sic] race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, physical disability, mental disability, or medical condition.â€
Working with so many people who have rules like this to deal with will serve no purpose. Our society will become full of festering women who always seek to be the victim of some seen or unseen crime; men will become robots who dare not speak, look, touch or even think about their female co workers.
“Severe,†“pervasive,†“reasonable,†“intimidating, hostile, or offensiveâ€â€“–interpretations of the meaning of these words will be as numerous as the number of people in your office. Such terms are subjective, relative, contingent, and even arbitrary, their force dependent on nothing other than the perception of the alleged victim. This person can be hypersensitive, neurotic, stupid, or vicious, yet his or her definition of the law will set the standard for tripping an investigation.
It’s not just about this though. What’s more dangerous is the fact that people can use the words and activities of others as a basis for a claim: A few years back we were out on a break at my work. A couple of women (me and Kim) and a couple of guys…we were off in our own area joking about somethings and having a fun time just talking. Not one part of our conversation had anything to do with sex, with men or women AT ALL. Another co worker was nearby, maybe 100 feet away so she couldn’t really hear us…BUT she filed a complaint against US because our laughter made her uncomfortable. It intimidated her. It made her feel offended and nervous. Of course in the end she ended looking like a fool because the whole “case” got tossed. But think about it. Having a simple converation can land us all in trouble. Because of stupid laws like this.
Given that harassment lies in the eye of the victim, the course recommends that all employees constantly monitor and fine-tune their conversations and behaviors in order to avoid anything that could remotely be construed as objectionable to anyone in the “protected†categories. This advice, of course, is useless, given that there are so many subjective definitions of what’s objectionable that the only viable solution is to avoid most conversation or reduce one’s comments to banal pleasantries. In workplace discussions individuals will have to continually practice self-censorship to insure that their personal way of expressing themselves––with irony, sarcasm, or humor, for example––is not interpreted by the thin-skinned, the crazy, or the malignant as “harassment.â€
At my work everyone takes “Sexual Harassment” training courses too. It’s 16 hours of bullshit. Women are told what they can consider to be harassment- anything goes: Being stared at, being bumped into, conversations. Yet men are told not to so much as say GOOD MORNING to one woman (it’s safer to say those things in a meeting where everyone else is present)…WHAT BULLSHIT. Men are told not to look at women. Those who are supervisors are warned about meeting with women without a witness in the room. They are told not to shake the hand of a woman, to never LOOK at a woman, not to EVER say anything about a woman’s appearance….on and on. It’s so unfair.
Sexual harassment law takes this responsibility for managing our free speech and its effects away from individuals, and so reduces us to children who require institutional nannies to monitor our behavior and protect the tender sensibilities of people no matter how unreasonable or neurotic their private standards of offense are. As such, current sexual harassment law is an insidious threat to freedom, one much more serious than the temporary intrusions on the privacy of people suspected of communicating with terrorists. And that threat, enshrined as it now is in law and legal precedent and backed up by state power, will be with us for a long time.
The normal everyday converations and meetups with people some of us thrive on. The standards of these sexual harassment rules apply only to work places…whats not acceptable here is perfectly ok in the town diner or the gym or when we’re out exercising or shopping. If a man walks up to a woman in a supermarket and tells her she looks good, it’s a compliment. But at work it’s sexual harassment?? I don’t think so. And I don’t even want to hear about any men who pull this on women they work with. A man who files a complaint against a woman is GAY and weak.
It seems to me that women who file these charges have an ISSUE with themselves; they have little self confidence and take that out on others. They use their “status” of being a woman to punish men. For being men. Men look. They like to be around us. They are social creatures too, who thrive on attention and conversation. If a man is paying attention to a woman she should take that as the ultimate compliment and accept it for what it is: Human nature. Not turn it into something unnatural and negative and phoney. Women should be proud of what and who they are, the power they do indeed have over men, instead of using it against them.
I am honored when I walk into an area where all men work and I see posters of women, a few lewd words etched into a wall, and get gawky looks…it doesn’t bother me. Because I am a woman, it’s a good thing that men take notice. Why anyone would be offended by this is above and beyond my understanding.

Mikhail Smirnoff said he supported the resolution. He said the resolution does not support a final product, but that it only supports the concept of the monument. He said he understood the sentiment of not wanting to reward those who fought in the war, but that he thought those who fought in WWII were heros and that it was a much different war than the controversial war in Iraq.
