Cost of Living going up in Mass

Mass. bill requires health insurance

Every Massachusetts resident would be required to have health insurance on July 1, 2007, under a landmark healthcare bill the Legislature could send to Governor Mitt Romney as early as today.

This will require the citizen or their employer to purchase for them, health insurance. How many people are going to get laid off because of this? How many people won’t get hired now? American socialized medicine brought to you by the blue state from hell.

The agreement, unveiled by legislative leaders yesterday, aims to increase coverage in phases over three years to include 90 to 95 percent of the uninsured, through the insurance requirement for individuals, along with a new assessment on employers that don’t cover workers and creation of private, subsidized health plans for people who can’t afford them on their own.

What insurance company does the State Senate own stock in?

…and if MA citizens don’t get the required health insurance for whatever reasons, they get fined. How pathetic is this?

I don’t know of any other state that fines it’s own people for NOT having health insurance.

I don’t any other state that has taxes on taxes either for that matter.
