Churchill’s Bosses Recommend Firing the Bastard

Will Ward Churchill run for the hills finally? Or will he become a pain in the ass, lawsuit filing, feather sucking freak like so many of his liberal friends? His bosses have recommended he be fired today.

The interim chancellor of the University of Colorado at Boulder announced today that CU wants to fire ethnic studies professor Ward Churchill.

“Today I issued to Professor Churchill a notice of intent to dismiss him from his faculty position here at the University of Colorado,” said Phil DiStefano at a press conference.

Churchill has 10 days to appeal.

I’m fairly sure the Teepee-want-a-bee will chose to take legal action. Those who do wrong tend to use our legal system to justify their actions. Depending upon the venue he may still get to keep his job. Isn’t that sweet?

“A university is a marketplace of ideas, a place where controversy is no stranger…indeed one of our most cherished principals is academic freedom, the right to pursue and disseminate knowledge without threat of sanction,” said DiStefano. “But with freedom comes responsibility.”

Indeed. When you speak of hate and make accusations against your government it’s free speech. But when you document this via essays and writings taught to college kids, it becomes something else. And when you make up “facts” it is a lie. When you copy the writing of others, it’s plagarism. Churchill has been found guilty of all this.

“I applaud the chancellor’s decision to proceed with the dismissal of Ward Churchill,” Owens said. “If a university is a marketplace of ideas, then Mr. Churchill is the rotten fruit among hundreds of good apples. Hopefully, we can soon say good riddance to Ward Churchill once and for all.

Every citizen of CO should be saying this. Churchill has been a dark cloud over that state for the past several years.

In a secret ballot, six committee members recommended dismissal and three recommended suspension without pay. Two of the three recommended a five-year suspension and one a two-year suspension.

So every member recommended some sort of disciplinary action.

Churchill and his attorney have threatened to sue CU if he is fired. They accuse the university of retaliating against the tenured professor because of his essay saying some World Trade Center terrorism victims were not innocent and comparing them to a Nazi bureaucrat.

Yep…typical liberal threats and promises. The right to appeal. I wish I had these rights if I were to lose my job. Course I would never do those things Churchill has done.

Remember what he has done too: Rocky Mountain News has an excellent archive of all the reports, invesitgations, charges and such: The Churchill Files.

Michael and I have followed this case for a yr and a half now; it’s still hasn’t been resolved but it’s heading in the right direction. I can only hope Churchill accepts this without a lost fight, but knowing how Churchill thinks, I doubt that will happen. He loves attention and thrives on controversy. He has his little cheerleaders rooting for him too. Time will tell.

Robot Bartender

Someone has a great mind to come up with this stuff. I wonder what the original looked like?

A man enters a bar and orders a drink.

The bar has a robot bartender.
The robot serves him a perfectly prepared cocktail, and then asks him, “What’s your IQ?”

The man replies “162″ and the robot proceeds to make conversation about global warming factors, quantum physics and spirituality, biomimicry, environmental interconnectedness, string theory, nanotechnology, and sexual proclivities.

The customer is very impressed and thinks, “This is really cool.” He decides to test the robot. He walks out of the bar, turns around, and comes back in for another drink.

Again, the robot serves him the perfectly prepared drink and asks him, “What’s your IQ?”
The man responds, “about a 100.” Immediately the robot starts talking, but this time, about football, NASCAR, baseball, supermodels, favorite fast foods, guns, and women’s body parts.

Really impressed, the man leaves the bar and decides to give the robot one more test.
He heads out and returns, the robot serves him and asks, “What’s your IQ?”
The man replies, “Er, 50, I think.”

And the robot says… real slowly, “So.. is.. your.. party.. gonna.. nominate.. Hillary.. for.. president ???”

The NYT Vs. National Security

President Bush, September 24 2001:

We know that many of these individuals and groups operate primarily overseas, and they don’t have much money in the United States. So we’ve developed a strategy to deal with that. We’re putting banks and financial institutions around the world on notice, we will work with their governments, ask them to freeze or block terrorist’s ability to access funds in foreign accounts. If they fail to help us by sharing information or freezing accounts, the Department of the Treasury now has the authority to freeze their bank’s assets and transactions in the United States.

We have developed the international financial equivalent of law enforcement’s “Most Wanted” list. And it puts the financial world on notice. If you do business with terrorists, if you support or sponsor them, you will not do business with the United States of America.

And the New York Times, today:

WASHINGTON, June 22 — Under a secret Bush administration program initiated weeks after the Sept. 11 attacks, counterterrorism officials have gained access to financial records from a vast international database and examined banking transactions involving thousands of Americans and others in the United States, according to government and industry officials.

The President has mentioned many times- the US would be seeking information about funding, bank account info for terrorism related issues. This is no secret. But the NYT choses to make it appear so.

The Miami Seven

And another group of young men who mean to harm America have been caught and arrested. I applaud the government, the FBI- for making this happen.

WASHINGTON — Seven men described as “homegrown terrorists” have been charged with conspiring with Al Qaeda to “levy war against the United States” by committing acts of violence that included blowing up Chicago’s Sears Tower and an FBI building in Florida.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said Friday that the seven suspects were part of a group of who sought to work with Al Qaeda but ended up conspiring instead with a law enforcement informant. These men were living and working in the cities they were planning on attacking, Gonzales said, just as the Madrid, London and Toronto bombers — or would-be bombers — were.

Heh…

“They were persons who for whatever reason came to view their home country as the enemy,” Gonzalez said.

We need to find the answers to this. Were they members of a mosque that allowed hate preaching?

The men — five of whom are American citizens — along with others yet unknown, set out to “combine, conspire, confederate, and agree to provide material support and resources” to Al Qaeda “by agreeing to provide personnel, including themselves, to work under Al Qaeda’s direction and control, knowing that Al Qaeda has engaged or engages in terrorist activity,” according to a four-count indictment handed up Thursday against the seven men.

In other words, some of them would have been willing to blow themselves up; others would have been more than willing to fly a plane into a building; still others would have grabbed some hostages and cut off their heads…you know- the tactics of the Religion of Peace AKA Al Qaeda.

Gonzales said the terror suspects had the intent to carry out the attacks, but not necessarily the capability at the time of their arrest.

I see the ACLU coming to the rescue of the seven scum. And the liberals and democrats. Give them a few days.

“We try to identify plots in the earliest stages possible because we don’t know what we don’t know about a terrorism plot. Once we have sufficient information to move forward with a prosecution, that’s what we do and that is what has occurred here,” Gonzales said. “We took action when we did because we believe we have an obligation to protect America … We felt that the combination of the planning and overt acts taken were sufficient to go forward with this prosecution. There is no immediate threat.”

They stopped a plan in it’s tracks. No matter how early in it’s planning- the attacks won’t be happening now.

He continued: “These seven individuals are members of a homegrown terror cell. They lived and worked in the United States and enjoyed all the great freedom our nation offered. Yet they pledged their allegiance to Al Qaeda, or at least who they thought was Al Qaeda.”

He noted that the suspects planned attacks as big, if not bigger, than those of Sept. 11, 2001, that killed over 3,000 people.

“The struggle is far from over. We cannot afford to become complacent, as the threats are real, and the stakes are high,” Pistole added.

During a press conference later in Miami, Jonathan Solomon, FBI special agent in charge of the Miami office, stressed that the indictment is against individuals, “it is not an indictment against any religion or segments of our community.”

He’s being PC. I would indite the entire religion. Without hesitation. Have we heard any reaction from the Muslim community yet?

Acta, non verba

“Acta, non verba” is the motto for the United States Merchant Marines. It means: Act, Don’t Talk.

For many years these men and women have served without proper recognition. Recently President Bush visited the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Long Island. This was the very first time a sitting President visited this acedemy.

All told, more than 20,000 academy graduates have served the maritime industry and the armed forces at sea and ashore. In peacetime as in war, it is the Merchant Marines who keep us afloat.

It is to be noted that the Merchant Marine Academy is the first federal service to enroll women students – two years ahead of the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Coast Guard. Twenty-eight women are part of this year’s class, bringing the total number of academy female graduates to 552.

The academy, operated by the Maritime Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation, was dedicated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1943, and its college-level four-year program is fully accredited.

Many people don’t know these things about the Merchant Marines.

~~~~~~
Did you know this?
Despite the fact that our U.S. Merchant Marines are subject to the military code of conduct and could be court-martialed, and despite the fact that 7,000 gallant mariners were killed at sea on more than 800 American ships that were sunk, the merchant seamen of World War II got a raw deal when peace returned.
For 43 years, our government denied surviving heroes benefits, ranging from housing to health care to education under the G.I. Bill. Congress awarded them veteran status only in 1988 – too late for the 125,000 mariners who had already passed away (roughly half of those who had served).
The politics of those times prevented the MM from getting the credit they so deserved.
It was General Dwight D. Eisenhower who said, “When final victory is ours, there is no organization to share its credit more deservedly than the Merchant Marines.”
Our Merchant Marines have a proud and bloodied history. By the end of World War II, the Merchant Marine Academy had graduated 6,634 officers, many of whom never made it home. The academy accelerated graduating classes during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.
During the Persian Gulf War and prior to the conflict, academy graduates and midshipmen played key roles in a massive sealift of military supplies to the war zone. They also participated in the sealift to Somalia. More recently, they were vital in the transportation of supplies to the Iraq war and have served supporting naval roles in ports in Iraq and Kuwait.
These brave young men and women risk their lives on a day-to-day basis aboard ships loaded with high-test fuel and munitions on which our fighting troops depend.
Check out the US Merchant Marines web site; and think of them next Memorial Day and on Veterans Day.
Murtha is more corrupt than most know
When a politician does something- anything- to draw attention to themselves, they better be prepared for some scrutiny.
Rep. John Murtha is thinking big thoughts. Since coming out for an immediate withdrawal from Iraq last year, he has accused Marines of murder “in cold blood” before a preliminary investigation is even complete; accused the military of a cover up over the same incident; declared his candidacy for the House majority leadership post; and, most recently, refined his cut-and-run strategy in Iraq to mean “redeployment” to Okinawa, Japan.
It’s pretty obvious Murtha just wants some name recognition here, so he can try to take over the Majority leadership role.
Last June, the Los Angeles Times reported how the ranking member on the defense appropriations subcommittee has a brother, Robert Murtha, whose lobbying firm represents 10 companies that received more than $20 million from last year’s defense spending bill. “Clients of the lobbying firm KSA Consulting — whose top officials also include former congressional aide Carmen V. Scialabba, who worked for Rep. Murtha as a congressional aide for 27 years — received a total of $20.8 million from the bill,” the L.A. Times reported.
Why isn’t this getting more attention? They go after GOP folks who might be involved with similar situations. Why not go after this big dufus??
In early 2004, according to Roll Call, Mr. Murtha “reportedly leaned on U.S. Navy officials to sign a contract to transfer the Hunters Point Shipyard to the city of San Francisco.” Laurence Pelosi, nephew of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, at the time was an executive of the company which owned the rights to the land. The same article also reported how Mr. Murtha has been behind millions of dollars worth of earmarks in defense appropriations bills that went to companies owned by the children of fellow Pennsylvania Democrat, Rep. Paul Kanjorski. Meanwhile, the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonpartisan campaign-finance watchdog group, lists Mr. Murtha as the top recipient of defense industry dollars in the current 2006 election cycle.
The old boy network at work here…all polcats are guilty of this shit, it’s just damned funny how Murtha seems to get away with this. The scumbag.
As Rep. Joe Wilson, South Carolina Republican, has said, “If there is a potential pattern where Congressman Murtha has helped other Democrats secure appropriations that also benefited relatives of those members, I believe this would be something that merits further review by the ethics committee.”
Then why isn’t this being reviewed? The honorable old Marine, who only has the best interest of the military at heart? Sure.
What an ass.
It’s odd that the media, which has been fairly unbiased in going after corrupt politicians recently, has gone silent on Mr. Murtha’s questionable actions. Or maybe it isn’t. Since December, Mr. Murtha has become the darling of the antiwar crowd, and, as we’ve seen with other such darlings, scrutinizing their behavior is considered disrespectful. But as we’re on the subject, few might recall that after the massive 1980 Abscam scandal, Mr. Murtha was named by the FBI as an “unindicted co-conspirator.”
Go over and donate money to his opponent. Give her some cash. Vote this bastard out of office.
Honoring those who gave it all
This woman is NO Cindy Shit-heenan, that’s for darn sure. A moving memorial to her son and his commrads.
Karla Comfort received many looks and even some salutes from people when she drove from Benton, Ark., to Camp Pendleton, Calif., in her newly-painted, custom Hummer H3 March 2. The vehicle is adorned with the likeness of her son, 20-year-old Lance Cpl. John M. Holmason, and nine other Marines with F Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division who where all killed by the same improvised explosive device blast in Fallujah, Iraq, in December.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
For Karla Comfort, having the vehicle air brushed with the image of the 10 Marines was a way to pay homage to her hero and his fellow comrades who fell on Iraq’s urban battlefield.
“I wanted to let people know (Marines) are doing their jobs honorably, and some of them die,” said the 39-year-old from Portland, OR “I don’t want people to forget the sacrifices that my son and the other Marines made.”
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This is very inspirational. Karla needs to know that MANY of US will never forget the sacrifices her son has made- and his fellow Marines. We honor them and her a great deal. If only the Cindy Sheehan’s of this world could show some respect to her son…
Semper Fi Karla.
Watch out Murtha ‘you peice of shit
Marine currently in Iraq wins Grand Forks ND Council Seat.
“We’ve got a raid going on right now, and I can’t do anything for another 90 minutes. Can I call you then or is it too late?”
Thus went the e-mail from Maj. Mike McNamara from Fallujah, Iraq, replying to a request for an interview following his victory in the Grand Forks City Council Ward 2 race.
How to run a compain from Iraq. First be honest, second be a Marine!
The race had been an intense one with four other candidates fighting for the same office and all of them having the advantage of being in town during the campaign.
Not that Mac, as he is often known, didn’t have advantages of his own being both a local media celebrity - he’s the host of “Mac Talk” on KNOX radio - and a Marine in a time when the military enjoys the most prestige it’s had since World War II.
Murtha better watch out he will be getting a new generation of True Americans in office and they will prove his disgrace!
The Democratic Communists Party do not care who their friends are!
They think it is strong to be Anti-American.
Sacramento Anti-War Demonstration Confirms That Peace Takes Courage
But they are wrong again. It is just LAZY and ignorant.
Sacramento progressives confirmed that “peace takes courage” by holding another anti-war demonstration at 16th and Broadway. Over three hours starting at 5:00 pm, about 150 people dedicated to the anti-war/anti-Bush regime cause rejected pressure to boycott the demonstration because the “wrong people” were sponsoring it.
And they really support the troops too..
The peaceful, enthusiastic demonstration was the latest in a series beginning last summer at the busy 16th and Broadway location. Unfortunately, since the last demonstration in April 2006, another 128 U. S. troops have been killed and 378 have been wounded, “My Lai Massacre” type incidents have started to be uncovered, and untold thousands of Iraqis have died as “collateral damage.”
they say they are smart and well educated people. but
Radio talk show host Christine Craft (KSAC 1240 AM) even devoted most of her June 9 program to promote the boycott, decrying the supposed take over of the demonstration by violent, communist/anarchist outside agitators. Interestingly, some listeners reported mistaking the show for a taped airing of an historical Congressional Un-American Activities Committee hearing from the 1950’s.
what does this mean? that the educated people of the left are really stupid as eggplants..
But who are these people really?
The growth of the progressive community in Sacramento has been based on the unconditional, unqualified support among all the diverse groups from the Anarchists, the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP) and the LaRouches, to Deaniac Democrats and Buchanan paleocons, coming together under the anti-war/anti-Bush banner.
I don’t get how they could be proud of anything they are doing.
If you are hire a murderer you are a guilty of conspiracy to commit murder
But the leftist in Arizona think that if you hire someone to move you across the American Border you are not a criminal. While the person moving you is a criminal. This is because they think we should give over America to everyone in the world other than Americans. The good news is that some judges in Arizona don’t believe this is the case. They think that if you hire someone to commit a crime you are also guilty of that crime. They upheld the law as it should be…
A judge on Friday upheld an Arizona law that made immigrant smuggling a state crime, rejecting arguments that it was never intended to target immigrants _ only the human traffickers they hire.
But the leftist America hating Mexico loving socialist, corrupt pile of haggis think it doesn’t mean the Mexican criminals.
Defense lawyers and the law’s author said it was intended to apply only to smugglers. Defense attorneys also called it an unconstitutional attempt by the state to regulate immigration, which they contend is under the exclusive control of the federal government.
Thank god for some correct understanding of American Law.
The Giants Causeway
Heh. I have been to these cliffs and even though they look innocent enough, they are NOT. I do have a hard time believing US Marines had to be rescued from them though…
 Giant Causeways
Two American tourists have been rescued after getting into difficulties at the Giants Causeway.
The men, both United States Marines, became stranded on cliffs after leaving a coastal path and starting to climb in an area called the Chimney Stack.
The tourists, who both come from New Jersey, were winched to safety up the remaining 100 feet of cliff.
Members of the Coastguard service from Coleraine and Ballycastle were involved in the operation.
If your ever visiting Ireland this is one of those sights YOU have to see. It is beautiful and they offer tours; if you’re an experienced hiker these cliffs make for a challenge!
The Dionysian organization
So the elegantly spoken, well manicured, silk suit wearing, self fondling, slicked back haired men of the UN speak again.
This time as with everytime, this gaytoad PISSED me off.
much of the public discourse that reaches the US heartland has been largely abandoned to its loudest detractors such as (conservative radio talk show host) Rush Limbaugh and Fox News.”
“Exacerbating matters is the widely held perception, even among many US allies, that the US tends to hold on to maximalist positions when it could be finding middle ground,”…
So says the above mentioned man of the UN, one UN Deputy Secretary General Mark Malloch Brown.
I have thought about a response to this, but alas, it would be full of every swear and nasty term I could muster. And that would be a lot. So I looked for a more reasonable, better written way to say how I feel:
Given his novel diplomatic approach of biting our hand before it feeds him, let us see what our simple Middle American minds can glean from the fathomless seas of Malloch Brown’s troubled mind:
* First, one can sense he disdains the “stereotyping over too many years” of anything, except Middle America.
* Second, one can tell he is no fan of Middle America’s unsophisticated attachment to “unchecked” freedom of speech.
* Third, one can admire his compassionate dedication to defending a “victim,” so long as they are whining and dining
UN bureaucrats and not, one fears, an African.
* Fourth, from his tone, one can discern UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan is standing firmly in his Gucci shoes behind his man, despite pressure from America’s Ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, whose unbecoming, Middle American vice of moral clarity has made even senators weep.
* Fifth, one can be sure Ambassador Bolton and the U.S. House Republicans demands U.S. funding be tied to UN reform is being put at the top of his and Secretary-General Annan’s long list of U.S. crimes against bureaucracy.
* Sixth, one can hope he doesn’t visit Middle America.
* And, finally, one can wretch at the UN’s sense of entitlement to Americans’ money.
John Bolton isn’t impressed either with this slick Brit.
AMERICA’S bitter dispute with the United Nations escalated last night when John Bolton, the US envoy to the UN, threatened to withhold funding to the organisation unless it apologised for the remarks of a senior British official.
Cut off funding to this useless waste of space we call the UN. Why be a part of something that constantly insults the very nation that gives this world what the UN is mandated to do? Wait. Why have the UN when we, the US, are keeping this world in line??
