Challenge

Next year instead of the California International Marathon which I have done once and My little (5′2″)  twin sister has done many, many times.

I want to vacation next October in DC with my sister and any/all of you willing to spend 5 - 7 days in DC and do the Marine Corps Marathon with me!

Who else is willing to do this?

I wonder if TNT is doing this race? Yep, I wonder if I should do this as a TNT racer or chose one of the other (Semper Fi Fund, Armed Forces Foundation, Marine Corps Reserve Association, Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Ulman Cancer Fund, American Institute for Cancer Research) charities this year?

there are a lot of choices and they are all good from what I know ( I did TNT) already, and my dad has Cancer right now, and My sister is a Survivor. Which one to support?

Who is with me?

    Marine Training

the new Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command’s Foreign Military Training Unit is doing Foreign Military training. I still do not agree with the need for ‘Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command’ but I am hearing good things about the capabilities it brings to the SOCOM. But the MAGTAF is still a key part of the projection of force for America.

As part of this graduation exercise, the Marine trainers need to shape this rowdy group into a tight-knit fighting force. Normally, it could take months to accomplish.

But the clock is ticking for the Marines because they’re under orders to expand the nation’s special-operations forces and bolster foreign internal defenses. Col. Michael N. Peznola, the unit’s commander, said they would “work with partner nations . . . to help them help themselves.”

This sounds like the Army training….heh, maybe sometime I will have to change my opinion but not yet.

    Microlon Gun Juice

At a recent gun show in AZ I talked to a vendor selling Gun Juice and was very skeptical of its use. I have never been a believer in fix every thing additives. I was have always been a skeptic about claims that this cure all oil would fix this or that. but looking at the 1911 the lady had I liked the look of what the gun juice did to the metal and how the gun felt like it was dry polished and the action was very very smooth. I bought a 1.5 ounce bottle of Microlon Gun Juice to try on my new kimber .45 Pro Cary II and an old 30/30 that was pretty dirty.

I went to Ben Avery with this little bottle and followed the procedures first with the .45. the with the 30/30 on a sighting stand.

“WOW” is all I could say. It took time to shoot one round and patch over and over again but I ran 10 patches through each and then shot 100 rounds each after that. I gained about 3 inches rise on the 30/30 and after 100 rounds I pulled 2 patches through (dry) and the second patch was clean. I put some CLP on a brush and pulled it through several times and then a wet patch and it was wet but clean.

I might have to try some Wolf Russian made ammo and see if it can shoot the cheap ammo now without having to spend hours and hours cleaning it afterwards.

I bought a 4 oz bottle (can) of gun juice so I could condition the frame and slides on the .45 and a couple other weapons and followed the Mad Ogre review  of gun juice. I heated my oven to 500 degrees and put in the broken down parts for a couple minutes. I then used a patch to apply the gun juice to the metal parts and allow to dry. I did this process 10 times letting the parts cool after each application. I can see a difference in working the action and the pull of the slide. It is much smother and sure than before the conditioning.

If you like to shoot but don’t like to clean afterwards (at least for a couple hours) try Gun Juice.

    Arizona Honors 9-11

Today I joined Scott, Dennis, Macker, Kirly, and Rachel at the Arizona Honors 9-11 event at the Arizona 9-11 disgrace! I posted pictures earlier here.

I like the fact that ABC said that  Bruce Jacobs was just an activists.

Here is some good history from Michelle Malkin!

This pile of crap needs to be toward down now!

This is the good state Senator Jack Harper ( go here to support Jack) who is calling for this monstrosity to be replaced, and replaced now.

I need to get one of these shirts

Dennis presented the colors as the whole group said the pledge of allegiance to AMERICA

He talked to one of the guys responsible for getting this event going Mike Broomhead is the director of the Arizona Honors 9-11 Org.

Bruce the Update: Protester according to CBS 5 speaking to the group

This man Update: John Harold ( I didn’t get his name) lost his brother in the 9/11 attack on America

Earl C. Johnson talked about his calling after surviving the  attack from the 51st floor of the first building hit. He has a book that I bought and displays what a real memorial would be like. Update: go to his site to see what a good memorial woudl look like!

John McAvoy’s brother Michael McAvoy was on site and is very pissed at the BS on this disgrace He lost his brother and best friend in the attack on America.

Macker, Dennis and Kirly (left to right)

A New Yorker has a good jacket and speaks his mind

Barbara E. Lang was adding to the collection of 9-11 memorials.

Here is Barbara with Rachel from Tuson and a Protest Warrior

Islam is NOT a religion of Peace

Check out the new this site

I have heard people talk about this quote for a while but never saw the actual quote.  What say you America! do you want to live under Sharia law

“Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.” (stated at Islamic conference held in Freemont, California, July of 1998)

Michael Yon delivers the truth about military and censorship

In a Weekly Standard  article Michael slaps the DOD lack of leadership in the area if public relations. this is the group that is not letting the good information out to the public as much as the MSM is not wanting to let it out.

But we can and should complain when authorities willfully limit war reporting. We should do so whether it happens as a matter of policy, or through incompetence or bureaucratic sloth. The result is the same in any case. And once the matter has been brought to the attention of the military and the Pentagon–which I have quietly done–and still the situation is not rectified, it is time for a public accounting.

Go read the whole thing, and t6hen support Michael in his efforts.
