OK, I stopped and visited the Arizona War Memorials and the 9/11 memorial today.
Why “I’ll be home for dinner Tuesday night” was the one quote that really stood out and reminded me of that day and how we all take it for granted. Here is a picture of walking up to the site.
All of the inscriptions are listed below (and some pictures)

Excellent round up! They should stick to honoring those who died that day- the events and what happened- not the lecturing long winded reactions that occured after.
I read somewhere that there is a group looking at how to remove most of the anti-American rants on this. Your govenor is being a real snoot ass about all this as well. Sheesh. Can’t Americans just be Americans for once- and mourn and remember a day that has forever changed us without political bulloney?
Great pictures too- more than I have seen elsewhere.

guess what the same type of people have taken over the WTC site 9/11 memorial. At the site of the attacks there will be no American Flag, no iconic artifacts (Sphere, facade)and no mention of the following dates–September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993. The names of the dead will be arranged without any distinctions so no one will know that Christine Lee Hansen was 2 yrs old and flying on the plane with her parent, Peter and Kim that hit the South Tower. the firefighters will not be identifed by rank, the 658 workers who died from Cantor will not be listed together.Why? Because the Memorial Jury ruled that “THERE CAN BE NO REFERENCE TO 9/11 AT THE MEMORIAL TO PRESERVE THE INTERGRITY OF THE MEMORIAL.” If that makes no sense to you then you have a brain. Yet NYC Mayor Bloomberg and his group of better than thou intellectuals feel that given us all that will make us think that there is someone actually to blame and well we wouldn’t want that now would we.
Help us stop this mess–tell NYC Mayor Bloomberg that the 9/11 Memorial at the WTC site is “America’s Memorial” and thus must include what America wants:
Flag, iconic artifacts, names with distinction and an ABOVE ground museum.
