    Rene Gagnon’s sons and Grandson live in NH and I met them. Recently they found a chest full of letters he wrote to his then GF- who ended up being his wife.
    The letters say much and it’s too bad they weren’t found before the book was written or the movie was filmed.

    The Gagnon’s are putting the letters into a book and maybe a small museum…maybe the new Marine museum opening up in a week.
