Testing the airspace

So Michael moves back to Colorado as this person starts a “business” –one that he (Michael) is well qualified to operate…in the very area he lived in!! Hmm…maybe there are opportunities for this up in Colorado??

The Chandler, Ariz., resident has started a business that will make it that much easier for amorous couples to join the “Mile-High Club.”

For $750, couples can get a 90-minute ride 6,000-feet above the Phoenix area, with the only destination being that delightful place known as love, sweet love, the Arizona Republic reports.

Riedel’s friend, Richard McPherson, flies the lovebirds up in a Cessna 320 decked out with a “retro lounge jazz club” interior for the company, Mile High AZ.

Thus far Riedel’s venture is still in its infancy. Mile High AZ is testing the airspace, so to speak, offering free flights to friends, who in turn leave “testimonials” on Milehighclub.com.

“It was everything we expected and more,” the Republic quoted one posting.

And though this mortgage broker hasn’t quit his day job, the paper reports, he’s enjoying the ride, noting it’s “a heck of a lot more fun to talk about than being a Realtor.”

All I can say is:::

5 inches long and it glitters!!

OOH!! I want some of these for my tree this year…not everyone is as enthused as I am though…

Nothing says Christmas quite like a glittery black handgun hanging from the tree.

Urban Outfitters Inc. - no stranger to controversial products - is offering the 5-inch-long, Chinese-made gun ornament for $6 in its stores and catalogs this year.

“Bust a cap in your tree with this superglittery ornament in the shape of a handgun, complete with a satin ribbon for hanging,” the online description of the revolver says. It is meant, the retailer says, as an “ironic twist” on the holidays.

“Twisted” is more like it, said Kate Philips, Gov. Rendell’s spokeswoman. “The governor doesn’t find it humorous or clever to display weapons that are responsible for taking hundreds of lives each year as if they are decorations,” she said.

Oh phooey to you Gov. Rendell….Most people I know collect ornaments for their trees that express their interests and hobbies.
So what if it’s a little gun? You’de think it was a crime or something.

Of Tor-M1’s and Polonium-210

With friends like this, NO one should feel safe or secure.

Russia has begun deliveries of the Tor-M1 air defence rocket system to Iran, Russian news agencies quoted military industry sources as saying, in the latest sign of a Russian-US rift over Iran.

“Deliveries of the Tor-M1 have begun. The first systems have already been delivered to Tehran,” ITAR-TASS quoted an unnamed, high-ranking source as saying Friday.

Why is Russia a voting member of the United Nations? A member who has veto power??

And now we’re getting reports like this:

LONDON, England (CNN) — Traces of radioactive material that apparently killed a former Russian spy investigating the death of a Russian journalist were found at places where he ate and met other spies just before falling ill, British authorities said Friday.

In a statement released after his death on Thursday, Alexander Litvinenko blamed a “barbaric and ruthless” Russian President Vladimir Putin for the attack. Putin called the death a tragedy, but accused opponents of “political provocation.”

Experts from the British Health Protection Agency, called in after radiation was suspected in the death on Thursday of the 43-year-old, confirmed that a large dose of polonium-210 was found in Litvinenko’s body.

What’s going on in Russia? When is Vladimir returning to the USA again?? Do we want him here???
