Thinking Bloggers
Mar 28th 2007RavenLife & Raven
Cotillion sister and blogging friend Chrissie passed this BLOGGING AWARD to me yesterday. I was very surprised and it really made my day. I haven’t been able to place a lot of effort into blogging lately, due to school and work and life. When one gets something like this, it reminds us why we do this- blogging. To cause others to think.
This is actually a meme of sorts. The idea is to THINK of 5 other bloggers who have made YOU THINK. There are so many excellent bloggers out there and a few of them I call friends. In that, I am PROUDLY passing this onto to these fine people who DO make me THINK and who do deserve this award much more than I do:
Michael: He who just makes me THINK irregardless to what his posts are about. I’m biased here; he’s my best blog friend and deserves every award there is.
Kat: For her post titled “I’m Not a Republican Anymore“-
I’m far too tired with the lack of character displayed by members of my former party. I’m disgusted with the fact that they exhibit little to no moral fortitude, neither do they appear to care about conforming to the founding principles of our country.
So, I’m done with them.
THIS will cause everyone to STOP. And THINK. About their values and politics.
Cao: For her post titled “How the modern liberal thinks“
It’s hard to really accept; there is no criteria for truth, beauty, justice or anything else for the modern liberal. Indiscriminateness is a moral imperative because rational moral thought is an act of bigotry.
She has a way with words, that describe the absolute nuttiness of the left and how they come to their conclusions. I hope some on the left actually read this post of Cao’s; and THINK about how it really applies to them.
GM: For his post titled “Be Careful Of Who You Step On On The Way Up“
Senator John McCain
Senate Office Building
Washington, District of ColumbiaDear Senator McCain:
I understand that you are having difficulty raising money for your presidential campaign.
GM reminds one Senator McCain that people can THINK for themselves, and use this process to decide if he is worthy of campaign donations and votes. Ouch. The truth can hurt when it comes back at yah- I hope Senator McCain has read this.
Ogre: For his post titled “Global Warming Solutions“-
Look, algore’s a lunatic. I’m with the hundreds of scientists that know that algore is off his rocker. There’s absolutely piles of evidence to show that it’s just completely false that CO2 is causing global warming. But hey, algore, chief priest of the religion of environmentalism wants to reduce CO2 emissions. Okay, I’ve got two solutions that will, absolutely, reduce CO2. I expect to see the church of environmentalism adopt these goals immediately if they seriously want to reduce CO2.
There is so much info out there about Global Warming and it’s effects on all of us. TOO many people are not THINKING of the science of it all; they are listening to the fear mongers and hyperbole rather than those who speak of common sense. Ogre has ideas too.
Big Dog: For his post titled “Members of Congress Treated Like Royalty at Walter Reed“
(A subject that PISSES ME OFF!!)
Interestingly, the same members of Congress who claim our soldiers are not getting the best available and that they deserve much better are the same ones who have a special unit reserved just for them. Ward 72, on the top floor of Walter Reed, is reserved for very special people, not some poor schmuck who lost his arms in combat. No, Ward 72 is reserved for the elitists in Congress as well as many others who believe they are entitled to such amenities based upon their status in the kingdom.
While the MSM focuses on rats and mold and paperwork problems, members of the elites in our society quietly go about their medical care and needs in a soft and plush environment…and I KNOW they are using resources meant for the wounded troops. Does the MSM ever THINK?? Kudos to USA Today for writing this and kudos to Big Dog for posting on it!
If you choose to participate, please make sure you pass this list of rules to the blogs you are tagging. I thought it would be appropriate to include them with the meme.
The participation rules are simple:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think.
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme. Send a track back too!!
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote in one of your side bars!
