Pro-American French Government coming
On Sunday France elected a pro-American, conservative named Nicolas Sarkozy as its new president.
The 52-year-old who beat back by 10 percentage points his Socialist rival, promises an unabashed Thatcherite agenda for France.
Sarkozy also replaces the embattled Jacques Chirac, a relic from an earlier age of French politics, who made anti-Americanism his hallmark.
Sarkozy campaigned on a platform of sweeping reforms, pledging to dismantle large portions of the social welfare state and to make France competitive on world markets again.
WOW, does this mean that all Fwench aren’t as bad as we thought?
And on another point dos this show that Socialism is not the solution but the cause of the problems?
Jacques Iraq can kiss my ass on the way out the door.

Heh. I just read how 58% percent of the French voted for this guy. He ran on a platform of reducing umemployment by:
Ending the 35 hour work weeks
Ending mandatory union membership
Creating jobs for those who WANT and NEED to work, at government run facilities including rail and bus services, hospitals and public trusts. Since so many are unionites who are always on strike…give their jobs to those who WANT work…IMAGINE THAT.
Looking at the numbers of national paid holidays…
Socialism has failed the French. It has taken away it’s ability to be competitive and now the peasants, people like me who need to work and don’t mind working, have SPOKEN UP. I hope it’s not too late for them. But I think it is. I wonder if there will be any change on the national defense front…the war against radical Islam and surrender policies France seems to endorse?
