Media people suck
Iraqi leadership has decide that the press is the cause to the continued fighting and murder of Iraqi people. so in response to the left wing media supporting the terrorists in Iraq in order to bread the Americans will to fight they have been bared form the scenes…
BAGHDAD (AFP) - Iraq’s interior ministry has decided to bar news photographers and cameramen from the scenes of bomb attacks, operations director Brigadier General Abdel Karim Khalaf said Sunday.
The questions I have is; when did they leave the Green Zone and the Palestine hotel anyway? other than when they we escaping after shooting at Americans that is?
His announcement was the latest in a series of attempts to curtail press coverage of the ongoing conflict, which has already attracted criticism from international human rights bodies.
Of Course the AFP is going to find someone (the enemies of Iraq?) to criticize the move….

There has got to be a better way then trying to shut down coverage. Vetting the stringers won’t work either. Any suppression of information like this will strike a free speech cord here at home and backfire I suspect. The problem is the overwhelming signal in the media here at home is all about the car bombs and any missteps made by the military. It’s not fair, but the people with the biggest microphones are AP, Reuters, and AFP. Most of the nightly news is composed of stories picked up off the Wires. Bad news is louder then good news. That is the conundrum we face. People do not feel the constant daily sacrifice they are seeing on the news is worth it. Any positive news is just spin. I don’t have a solution, but I suspect not allowing the press to go to bomb sites might not be the answer…Then again, the bombing is done to capture headlines. If it fails to capture headlines then that hurts the terrorists. Do the media recognize that they are being used as a tool for the terrorists?
