We Can’t Control the People, so Let’s Control the Guns

These people really believe this crap.

William Robiner is the Director of Health Psychology at the University of Minnesota Medical School. So he specializes not only in making sure people are able to get and stay mentally healthy. And when it comes to thinking about ways to stay healthy, that’s exactly what we need in America today. In this editorial, Robiner lays out why firearms are hurting our public health so much: we’re sick, and our legislators are refusing to take the doctor’s advice.

These nanny state big brother women make me laugh…and they scare tech crap out of me at the same time.

Shortly after the one-month anniversary of the Virginia Tech shootings, three more died in a church shooting in Idaho. In the month since the Virginia Tech ordeal, an estimated 2,430 more Americans were killed with guns. Are effective steps being taken to avoid senseless violent acts?

2,430 were killed with guns. estimated? to lazy to find the real numbers?  I don’t care because I have guns and I don’t kill people unless they threaten me, my family, my friends.\

This could be funny as hell if it wasn’t true..

BEIJING (Reuters) - China has branded a U.S. warning against using its toothpaste as irresponsible, saying low levels of diethylene glycol (DEG) were not harmful.

“So far we have not received any report of death resulting from using the toothpaste. The U.S. handling (of this case) is neither scientific nor responsible,” China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement posted on its Web site over the weekend.

As If we should believe China as well as the US government…..right, and what does China make with Quality? I know I shop at Costco and see it all the time.

Similarly contaminated toothpaste has been seized across Latin America, and in Panama, the government says at least 100 people died after taking cough syrup that contained DEG, an industrial solvent used in paint and antifreeze.

I have never heard of these brands….

The FDA identified products by Goldcredit International Enterprises Ltd., Goldcredit International Trading Co. Ltd., and Suzhou City Jinmao Daily Chemicals Co. Ltd as containing DEG. Brands include Cooldent, Clean Rite and Oralmax and are usually found at discount retailers, the FDA said.

Well, maybe the US Government is doing something for Americans…kinda…

I have been reading many articles and memos and posts about how Ward Churchill should be fired or not and this is all because he used his free speech to stir up the pot.

THE UNIVERSITY of Colorado Board of Regents is nearing a test of its ability to set policy for the university.

While I agree with the point that Ward should get pushed out the door never to return because he doesn’t mater in my opinion. I think he has no Integrity and that hurts his cause as much as what he said hurts the School.  What I don’t see in any of these readings are the simple fact that free speech doesn’t mean that the extra scrutiny is unfounded.

If your going to rock the boat, be prepared to get put under a microscope. This is why so many people don’t want to be in politics.

Ward took the easy way by cheating and copying others in his past and because he rocked the boat with his stupid writings against America he got put under a microscope…to bad. he should have done his own work and then there would be nothing to justify his firing. I wonder how many other professors (the ones supporting him) have lied and cheated in their publishing past?

A Gallup poll at the time reported that 53% of scientists actively involved in global climate research did not believe global warming had occurred; 30% weren’t sure; and only 17% believed global warming had begun. Even a Greenpeace poll showed 47% of climatologists didn’t think a runaway greenhouse effect was imminent; only 36% thought it possible and a mere 13% thought it probable.

All we hear from the Media is that America wants “comprehensive immigration reform.”

I don’t get it, I don’t know anyone that wants “comprehensive immigration reform.” All I want and what most p0eople I know want is to build a fence…

Last year Congress passed a bill and GWB signed it into law to pay for a fence. what is happening with that?

Once the fence is built then we can talk about how to deal with the current flood of illegal criminals..

Anyone that votes for this “comprehensive immigration reform.” like Kennedy-McCain or Kennedy-Kyle approach will not get my vote, period.

I don’t want to grant amnesty to all of these people. I don’t want to deport anyone until we get a fence built…
