President Bush Has Increased Resources For Border Security And Interior Enforcement:
The Administration Will Triple Funding For Border Security Under This President. Since 2001, funding for border security has more than doubled – from $4.6 billion in 2001 to $10.4 billion in 2007. The President called for an additional $13 billion for FY 2008.
The Administration Will Double The Size Of The Border Patrol By The End Of 2008.
- The President requested $3.6 billion for FY 2008 to continue hiring more border patrol agents.
- The Administration has expanded the Border Patrol from approximately 9,000 agents in 2001 to more than 13,000 agents today.
- 1,085 Border Patrol agents were added in FY 2006 and 1,034 have already been added this year.
I lived in AZ and there was not strengthening of the border until the Minute Men hit the border. this went to the bureaucracy of border security, not to anything to affect the flow of the soon to be legalese immigrants.

I read somewhere that less than 20 miles of fencing of a weak kind has been built by our beloved guvmint. WTF.
The funds are there. They have been for over two yrs now. WHERE’S THE FENCE??
We have to assume that the guvmint has no intention of truly building any sort of real fence, wall, whatever. We must assume they don’t want to plug the big gaping hole that is our open border…and allow the never ending flow of illegals to continue flooding into our country.
It reminds of a great ship that hit an ice berg one night…and beforehand the ships captain heard the warnings and ignored them; after the breach the water came in at an uncontrolled rate, and sank the ship.
The US is like Titanic. And we haven’t even hit the ice berg yet.
