What time is it?

On some military air bases, the Air Force is located on one side of the field and civilian aircraft use the other side of the field, with the control tower in the middle.

One day the tower received a call from an aircraft asking, “What time is it?”
The tower responded, “Who is calling?”
The aircraft replied, “What difference does it make?”
The tower replied, “It makes a lot of difference…
If you are an American Airlines flight, it is 3 o’clock.
If you are an Air Force plane, it is 1500 hours.
If you’re a Navy aircraft, it’s 6 bells.
If you’re an Army aircraft, the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 3.
If you’re a Marine Corps aircraft, it’s Thursday afternoon and there are 120 minutes until ‘Happy Hour.’”

Why Concealed Carry works

And why most Media outlets won’t publish this story.

Caught on Tape: Man Lauded for Shooting at Albertsons Robber

Watch the video,

Lt. Sullivan said Rayshaun Johnson was possibly hit during the robbery. Mr. Johnson, 17, was injured on his backside and foot. He was dropped off in the parking lot of Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Fort Worth.

If more good people carried guns, dumb ass criminals would not be so brazen.

Iraq and why

I was talking with my sister last night and she asked me what I think Iraq was about. I don’t really know her view but I think she leans toward the liberal side.

Here is a good understanding of what I think the Global War on Terror is about from Michael Yon who is one of the only truth sayers I read in Iraq.

Most Iraqis I talk with acknowledge that if it was ever about the oil, it’s not now. Not mostly anyway. It clearly would have been cheaper just to buy the oil or invade somewhere easier that has more. Similarly, most Iraqis seem now to realize that we really don’t want to stay here, and that many of us can’t wait to get back home. They realize that we are not resolved to stay, but are impatient to drive down to Kuwait and sail away. And when they consider the Americans who actually deal with Iraqis every day, the Iraqis can no longer deny that we really do want them to succeed. But we want them to succeed without us. We want to see their streets are clean and safe, their grass is green, and their birds are singing. We want to see that on television. Not in person. We don’t want to be here. We tell them that every day. It finally has settled in that we are telling the truth.

The truth is Americans that are over in Iraq are fighting to stop terror in its tracks. don’t believe me, read this part:

Speaking through an American interpreter, Lieutenant David Wallach who is a native Arabic speaker, the Iraqi official related how al Qaeda united these gangs who then became absorbed into “al Qaeda.” They recruited boys born during the years 1991, 92 and 93 who were each given weapons, including pistols, a bicycle and a phone (with phone cards paid) and a salary of $100 per month, all courtesy of al Qaeda. These boys were used for kidnapping, torturing and murdering people.

At first, he said, they would only target Shia, but over time the new al Qaeda directed attacks against Sunni, and then anyone who thought differently. The official reported that on a couple of occasions in Baqubah, al Qaeda invited to lunch families they wanted to convert to their way of thinking. In each instance, the family had a boy, he said, who was about 11 years old. As LT David Wallach interpreted the man’s words, I saw Wallach go blank and silent. He stopped interpreting for a moment. I asked Wallach, “What did he say?” Wallach said that at these luncheons, the families were sat down to eat. And then their boy was brought in with his mouth stuffed. The boy had been baked. Al Qaeda served the boy to his family.

That is what we are fighting against and their success is worth our efforts.

It really is a win win cause, unless you are a lemocrat defeatists like current crop of presidential candidates, and we can’t forget the Liberal Republicans that are up for election again soon..

Civil Unions in NH

On this issue I lean towards the libertarian side of the get the government out of the house. Of the homosexual people I know they are mostly drama kings and queens. I would imagine the Civil Union Divorce rate will be higher than that of marriages. They are Americans and deserve to be treated as good as every other American out there. we will see how this falls our

CONCORD, N.H. - Gay couples in New Hampshire can start applying for many of the rights and responsibilities of marriage as early as January under a law Gov. John Lynch signed Thursday establishing civil unions.

“We in New Hampshire have had a long and proud tradition taking the lead in opposing discrimination,” Lynch said. “Today that tradition continues.”

Couples who enter civil unions will have the same rights, responsibilities and obligations as married couples. Same-sex unions from other states also would be recognized if they were legal in the state where they were performed.

Question is, what will this do the the Free State Project?

Mr. President: Order Pardons For the Agents

If Bush can commute Scooter Libby’s sentence, he can PARDON the agents.

Two California congressmen, one of whom introduced legislation this year calling for a congressional pardon for two U.S. Border Patrol agents, say that if President Bush can commute the sentence of former White House aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, he can order pardons for the agents.

“If the president of the United States is going to commute the sentence of Scooter Libby, he should immediately accompany that with a pardon for Border Patrol agents Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos,” said Rep. Duncan Hunter, California Republican and 2008 presidential candidate.

“If Scooter Libby is going to receive this treatment, and there very well could be a compelling reason for the president’s actions, agents Compean and Ramos should then be provided a full pardon,” said Mr. Hunter, whose bill has 100 co-sponsors. “Mr. President, pardon our Border Patrolmen.”

100 co-sponsers?? Come on Mr. President. Be a man here and pardon the two men who were simply doing their job and in the line of that work, got caught up in something bigger than anyone can understand. Many of us smell really foul play here- and it’s not coming from the agents. The agents are serving prison time which is excessive while the illegal drug smuggler is free. There’s a problem here and only Bush can solve it now.
