Alrighty then…I’m moving in here for the week

Got my back pack, my lawn chair, my cooler and a few cases of beeah. And a couple cigars. And a tin of coffee and my mug. I’m all set to rumble. Help me keep the fires burning here while our favorite Jarhead is off at the Urban Range, shootin and lootin.

Oh, and one more thing–

I have my bat and high heels. Don’t tick me off!

Lady, your plumage ROCKS! I always knew you were one well-feathered bird, but wow….

    Heh…

Hey Raven, lol, how are you these days?

Glad you liked the comment. Been trying to write a book (not very successfully). The first draft is 90% is done (85,000+ words). The next 90% of the effort will be finishing it, followed by another 90% of the effort required to re-write it to smooth it out. Another 90% of the effort will be to really work it over and make it readable . . . . It’s in a pretty rough state.

Meanwhile, I’ve been reading legal briefs. What fun!

Writing a book?? That sounds like fun…I think. LOL

I don’t think I’d have the patience to do that. I have some good story ideas and outlines…but to actually sit and write? I dunno…me not a patient person and I tend to fall asleep if I sit for to long. LOL!!

You don’t have the patience to write a great story? LOL–Tell me another one! You have a gift. Your “Wonder Years” story was so well done…it really touched me. I mentioned it again to MyLovelyWife just last night (after she caught sight of the plumage pic….) Then, she remembered my telling her about it back when.

It is a lot of work though, and very tiring. When the mood hits, the words just pour out. Then there’s a whole lot left to do when the mood isn’t right. I haven’t touched it in a couple of weeks. Been reading legal briefs!

Ahh yes the Wonder Years..LOL I actually got a few contacts on that. A couple people wanted me to write a book about those days. And someone else was considering making a movie.

I thanked them all and said, NO. Cause those painful times shouldn’t be made into some money making venture. I could fill a novel too, with all sorts of details that would make people’s skin crawl. And I could name NAMES of famous folks who were THERE, who took advantage of young girls. I could ruin the political careers of more than a few of our modern day polecats. But I’m not into that.

Legal briefs? One of my daughters is doing that. She’s graduating from pre law school in May and in Sept she’s headed for Harvard…she wants to be a lawyer.
She tells me her head has been in law books for weeks now and she dreams briefs. She talks briefs. She nightmares briefs. LOL!!!
