The more laws they make, the harder it is for people to understand the laws. And the more laws that there are, the more likely it is that every single person will be breaking a law -- which gives the government ultimate authority through fear because people will know they might be breaking a law at any time, and it will be selectively enforced when the government wants to punish you for being out of line. And yes, I honestly believe this is part of the liberal thought process. You have to understand liberals (and the media). The more laws they make, the harder it is for people to understand the laws.
