Remember even if a judge warents additional protection for you, the police don’t have to follow it.

This is near my home in Colorado…..

CASTLE ROCK V. GONZALES (04-278) 545 U.S. 748 (2005) 366 F.3d 1093, reversed.

Respondent filed this suit under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 alleging that petitioner violated the Fourteenth Amendment’s Due Process Clause when its police officers, acting pursuant to official policy or custom, failed to respond to her repeated reports over several hours that her estranged husband had taken their three children in violation of her restraining order against him. Ultimately, the husband murdered the children. The District Court granted the town’s motion to dismiss, but an en banc majority of the Tenth Circuit reversed, finding that respondent had alleged a cognizable procedural due process claim because a Colorado statute established the state legislature’s clear intent to require police to enforce retraining orders, and thus its intent that the order’s recipient have an entitlement to its enforcement. The court therefore ruled, among other things, that respondent had a protected property interest in the enforcement of her restraining order.

Held: Respondent did not, for Due Process Clause purposes, have a property interest in police enforcement of the restraining order against her husband. Pp. 6—19.

Remember the Second Amendment? the one that supports the first?

McCain is not much better, but he is the lesser of two evils in this case…

Move your feet, Lose your seat

Not my brother could possibly lose his seat and his pork loving friends could lose the scraps from the dinner table (we are talking prime rib here people).

The professional socialist taxman Jack Murtha might get the ax from the people he fails to represent….

The 18-term congressman’s challenger, staunch conservative Republican newcomer William Russell, raised nearly $670,000 in the second fundraising quarter. Earmark king Murtha scraped together a measly $119,000. Russell’s underdog campaign bested Murtha without the perks of incumbency, national name recognition, big PAC donations or mainstream media support.

The best part is it is a veteran with real  military experience that will be going against the overlord.

Russell’s clear on where he stands. No doubt Barack Obama would label him bitter and clingy. "I am a Conservative," he says in his defining campaign statement. "I believe in the sovereignty and security of this one nation, under God. I believe the primary role of government is to provide for the common defense and a legal framework to protect families and individual liberty. … I believe that no one owes me anything just because I live and breathe."

Navy & Marine Fighting Rules

Marine Corps Rules For Gun Fighting:

  • Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice.
  • Ammo is cheap. Life is expensive.
  • Only hits count. A close miss is still a miss.
  • If your shooting stance is good, you’re probably not moving fast enough nor using cover correctly.
  • If you can choose what to bring to a gunfight, bring a long gun and a friend with a long gun.
  • In ten years nobody will remember the details of caliber, stance, or tactics.  They will only remember who lived.
  • If you are not shooting, you should be communicating, reloading, and running.
  • Have a plan.
  • Have a back-up plan, because the first one won’t work.
  • Use cover and concealment as much as possible.
  • Flank your adversary when possible. Protect yours.
  • Don’t drop your guard.
  • Be courteous to everyone, friendly to no one.

Navy Rules For Gun Fighting:

  • Go to Sea
  • Send the Marines
  • Drink Coffee

The President should have Vetoed the pork bills

If the President had vetoed the spending bills with all the pork and special interests benefits only, he might not have lost his house and Senate to the Democrats.  Now he threatens to veto the crap his liberal house is pushing on the American people.

White House threatens to veto oil drilling legislation

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House on Thursday threatened to veto legislation being considered by the U.S. House of Representatives that would force oil companies to give up undrilled federal leases and ban the export of crude drilled in Alaska.

The question I have is why this matters more than keeping spending down does?

We all hate the radio station broadcast of the ‘Emergency Broadcast System’ because it is always in the middle of a good song like on the ride to work this morning.

Using this as start, create the funniest parody of it and add it to your site and leave a comment with a link to your parody.

This is a test of the Emergency Broadcast System. The broadcasters of your area in voluntary cooperation with the FCC and other federal, state and local authorities have developed this system to keep you informed in the event of an emergency.”

If this had been an actual emergency, the Attention Signal you just heard would have been followed by official information, news or instructions.”

This station serves the largest area possible. This concludes this test of the Emergency Broadcast System.”

Bad Drivers

I don’t know if the Driver was hurt in this but I bet so. this looks bad.

Having a RV storage lot I see a lot of people that can barley drive a car let alone tow a camper behind it.

Anger Management

Self Defense is correct.

The mother of seven heard screams and someone saying “stop hitting me,” so she sent her teenage son out to their backyard to investigate.

“He came back in and said, ‘We gotta call 911!’ ” Abel said.

Then, she heard the gunshots.

“Pop, pop, pop,” Abel said. “There was a man standing in the middle of the street and a lady screaming ‘You blanking killed him.’ “

Getting the facts makes a difference.

Police arrived in the 3900 block of East Hampton Circle, near Val Vista Drive and U.S. 60, about 11 p.m., just as the shooting occurred. Officers found that the 29-year-old boyfriend of a neighborhood woman had been shot and killed by a 49-year-old homeowner who lives nearby.

The homeowner had come outside after hearing the man and his girlfriend yelling at each other in the front yard.

And the best part

Although police have stopped short of using the term self-defense, they said the homeowner shot and killed the man because he was “going crazy” with a billiards stick and charged at the homeowner.

The man was found dead on the homeowner’s driveway.

“As far as coming out with a gun, he was well within his rights,” said Detective Chris Arvayo, Mesa police spokesman. “He was in his yard. He never left his property. He came out with a gun, which is his constitutional right.”

It is sad that the 29 year old was killed. He will be missed by someone, somewhere,

but his death means other people might live without fear.

Abel said she used the incident as an opportunity to talk with her children about anger management.

That is good parenting.

The Current GOP must go!

I agree these Big spending liberal leaders in the GOP need to GO! their leadership has been lacking and it is time for some new blood to lead for America!

No Permanent GOP Minority
By Robert D. Novak
July 7, 2008

WASHINGTON, D.C. — When House Republican leaders left Washington for their Fourth of July break, they felt good about outwitting the Democratic majority. The feeling was not reciprocated 3,000 miles away, where conservative California Republican activists were drafting an ultimatum. The Lincoln Club of Orange County is telling GOP leaders of both the House and Senate that it is too late to repent. They must go — or else lose big money.

The message: "Come Nov. 5, should the current GOP leadership in either house survive to lead in a new Congress, the Lincoln Club of Orange County will review the financial backing of all congressional Republicans, and we urge others to do likewise. A GOP caucus that would re-elect such leaders is not one we would likely continue to support. Because, simply put, we refuse to support a permanent minority."

This is they key comment in the article

Unfortunately, say Republican reformers, it looked like the operation was a great success but the patient died.

Calling all Marines

And those who love them (or if you’re like me, get horny just hearing the word Ooh Rah!)….it’s July 4th weekend. Most of us will be out celebrating our Nation’s independence with cookouts and beer and time with family, friends. We’re taking a well deserved break from work to do this.

Check THIS BLOG out.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Since we’re all in the celebrating mood, let’s not forget those who gave so much so that others can be free. Wounded Marines need our help. It’s time to stand up, tall, and HELP. What better time of year to do this?

Inspired by the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund four motivated Marines have dedicated a run in honor of our Wounded Warriors who’ve faithfully served overseas. From 22-26 October 2008 we will embark on a 177.5 mile run to raise funds, awareness and support to these Warriors through the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. Our run will begin on 22 October 08 at Tun Tavern in Philadelphia, PA and end at the Marine Corps Marathon finish line in Washington, DC on 26 October.
