Blog Burst: Nobama08

An informed voter is not only a wise voter, he or she is probably also a good American. In this regard, the press has always been the cornerstone in the foundation of American democracy … that is, until the press became such an advocate of socialism and liberal politics that it can no longer be relied upon to convey “fair and balanced” information.

For this reason, Flightpundit joins with several others in a Noobama08 blog burst each Tuesday of the week until Election Day. If we cannot obtain the truth about our politicians from an unencumbered press, then we’ll form a cooperative to distribute information independently.

Stanley Kurtz is a journalist and senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. Mr. Kurtz’ article in the Wall Street Journal explains why Barack Obama is untrustworthy for the office of the President of the United States. He lacks integrity … and if it is one thing we do not need in the White House, it is yet another dishonest politician.

Mr. Kurtz writes:

Despite having authored two autobiographies, Barack Obama has never written about his most important executive experience. From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists.

The CAC was the brainchild of Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s. Among other feats, Mr. Ayers and his cohorts bombed the Pentagon, and he has never expressed regret for his actions. Barack Obama’s first run for the Illinois State Senate was launched at a 1995 gathering at Mr. Ayers’s home.

The Obama campaign has struggled to downplay that association. Last April, Sen. Obama dismissed Mr. Ayers as just “a guy who lives in my neighborhood,” and “not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis.” Yet documents in the CAC archives make clear that Mr. Ayers and Mr. Obama were partners in the CAC. Those archives are housed in the Richard J. Daley Library at the University of Illinois at Chicago and I’ve recently spent days looking through them.

The Chicago Annenberg Challenge was created ostensibly to improve Chicago’s public schools. The funding came from a national education initiative by Ambassador Walter Annenberg. In early 1995, Mr. Obama was appointed the first chairman of the board, which handled fiscal matters. Mr. Ayers co-chaired the foundation’s other key body, the “Collaborative,” which shaped education policy.

The CAC’s basic functioning has long been known, because its annual reports, evaluations and some board minutes were public. But the Daley archive contains additional board minutes, the Collaborative minutes, and documentation on the groups that CAC funded and rejected. The Daley archives show that Mr. Obama and Mr. Ayers worked as a team to advance the CAC agenda.

One unsettled question is how Mr. Obama, a former community organizer fresh out of law school, could vault to the top of a new foundation? In response to my questions, the Obama campaign issued a statement saying that Mr. Ayers had nothing to do with Obama’s “recruitment” to the board. The statement says Deborah Leff and Patricia Albjerg Graham (presidents of other foundations) recruited him. Yet the archives show that, along with Ms. Leff and Ms. Graham, Mr. Ayers was one of a working group of five who assembled the initial board in 1994. Mr. Ayers founded CAC and was its guiding spirit. No one would have been appointed the CAC chairman without his approval.

The CAC’s agenda flowed from Mr. Ayers’s educational philosophy, which called for infusing students and their parents with a radical political commitment, and which downplayed achievement tests in favor of activism. In the mid-1960s, Mr. Ayers taught at a radical alternative school, and served as a community organizer in Cleveland’s ghetto.

In works like “City Kids, City Teachers” and “Teaching the Personal and the Political,” Mr. Ayers wrote that teachers should be community organizers dedicated to provoking resistance to American racism and oppression. His preferred alternative? “I’m a radical, Leftist, small ‘c’ communist,” Mr. Ayers said in an interview in Ron Chepesiuk’s, “Sixties Radicals,” at about the same time Mr. Ayers was forming CAC.

CAC translated Mr. Ayers’s radicalism into practice. Instead of funding schools directly, it required schools to affiliate with “external partners,” which actually got the money. Proposals from groups focused on math/science achievement were turned down. Instead, CAC disbursed money through various far-left community organizers, such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (or Acorn).

Mr. Obama once conducted “leadership training” seminars with Acorn, and Acorn members also served as volunteers in Mr. Obama’s early campaigns. External partners like the South Shore African Village Collaborative and the Dual Language Exchange focused more on political consciousness, Afrocentricity, and bilingualism than traditional education. CAC’s in-house evaluators comprehensively studied the effects of its grants on the test scores of Chicago public-school students. They found no evidence of educational improvement.

CAC also funded programs designed to promote “leadership” among parents. Ostensibly this was to enable parents to advocate on behalf of their children’s education. In practice, it meant funding Mr. Obama’s alma mater, the Developing Communities Project, to recruit parents to its overall political agenda. CAC records show that board member Arnold Weber was concerned that parents “organized” by community groups might be viewed by school principals “as a political threat.” Mr. Obama arranged meetings with the Collaborative to smooth out Mr. Weber’s objections.

The Daley documents show that Mr. Ayers sat as an ex-officio member of the board Mr. Obama chaired through CAC’s first year. He also served on the board’s governance committee with Mr. Obama, and worked with him to craft CAC bylaws. Mr. Ayers made presentations to board meetings chaired by Mr. Obama. Mr. Ayers spoke for the Collaborative before the board. Likewise, Mr. Obama periodically spoke for the board at meetings of the Collaborative.

The Obama campaign notes that Mr. Ayers attended only six board meetings, and stresses that the Collaborative lost its “operational role” at CAC after the first year. Yet the Collaborative was demoted to a strictly advisory role largely because of ethical concerns, since the projects of Collaborative members were receiving grants. CAC’s own evaluators noted that project accountability was hampered by the board’s reluctance to break away from grant decisions made in 1995. So even after Mr. Ayers’s formal sway declined, the board largely adhered to the grant program he had put in place.

Mr. Ayers’s defenders claim that he has redeemed himself with public-spirited education work. That claim is hard to swallow if you understand that he views his education work as an effort to stoke resistance to an oppressive American system. He likes to stress that he learned of his first teaching job while in jail for a draft-board sit-in. For Mr. Ayers, teaching and his 1960s radicalism are two sides of the same coin.

Mr. Ayers is the founder of the “small schools” movement (heavily funded by CAC), in which individual schools built around specific political themes push students to “confront issues of inequity, war, and violence.” He believes teacher education programs should serve as “sites of resistance” to an oppressive system. (His teacher-training programs were also CAC funded.) The point, says Mr. Ayers in his “Teaching Toward Freedom,” is to “teach against oppression,” against America’s history of evil and racism, thereby forcing social transformation.

The Obama campaign has cried foul when Bill Ayers comes up, claiming “guilt by association.” Yet the issue here isn’t guilt by association; it’s guilt by participation. As CAC chairman, Mr. Obama was lending moral and financial support to Mr. Ayers and his radical circle. That is a story even if Mr. Ayers had never planted a single bomb 40 years ago.

To say Mr. Obama is not ready for the presidency is a gross understatement. It is not simply that he lacks experience … it is also that he repudiates traditional American values and culture by embracing Marxist ideology, has been an acolyte of black racist theology, cuddled up with the anarchist activism of Saul Alinski, and even worse … the man is simply and irrevocably dishonest. There is nothing about Barack Obama that may cause us to think he honors American tradition, or share with us our time-honored values.

If the American people elect this man to the presidency, he will certainly destroy the cultural and political fabric of the United States, and when he has finished his work, none of us will recognize what he has left behind: the People’s Socialist Republic of the United States.

The beginning of the end of Joe

We all kow the Democraps are worried about not having Hillary on the ticket will hurt Obama. It has been seen in many states where Barack has abandoned activity because he lost this key part of the vote.

Now it has been going around the Internet about how the liberals October surprise is going to be a swap of the VP candidate. This seems to be coming early in October as Joe is starting to piss off the anointed ONE.

What has been clear during this entire past ten days is John McCain has not had clarity and a grasp on the situation," Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., told NBC’s Matt Lauer in an interview that ran this morning.

Lauer was talking about how Obama hit Sen. McCain for flip-flopping on the AIG bailout — saying he opposed it one day then announce he supported it the next day.

But, as Lauer pointed out, scarcely three minutes after McCain said he opposed the AIG bailout last week, "in an interview with Meredith Vieira, Joe Biden, your running mate was asked the exact same question, ’should the federal government bailout AIG?’ And he said, ‘No, the federal government should not bailout AIG.’" (As we noted at the time.) "And I think that in that situation," Obama said, "I think Joe should have waited as well."

And the left media (why do Republicans  talk to these idiots still?)

So Berry will start to allow Joe to open his mouth and get fired in time to get Hillary on the ticket. Unless Billary is not able to bow to the ONE and become the SECOND!

The question is, what is Billary capable of doing to become President? Stand behind the new kid with no experience and let him look good? Remember she did forgive her Lieing , cheating, whoring husband to keep his support for the Senate race after getting booted from the white house.

Watch for the October Surprise!

Amendment 59 is agreeing to MUCH higher taxes for the spend happy Liberal/Progressive/Socialist Governor.

The government wants to remove any say we as tax payers have in how much and how spending is done in the state of Colorado. Currently we have a law called the TABOR’s law that require Coloradoian to approve ALL increases in tax rates in Colorado and also any major spending changes of taxes collected.

Watch this and vote against Amendment 59. If you want more good information on this Amendment and also on 49 check out John Caldara’s blog

Post Turtle

While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, who’s hand was caught in the gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually, the topic got around to Obama and his bid to be our president.

The old rancher said, "Well, ya know, Obama is a ‘Post Turtle’ ".

Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a ‘post turtle’ was.

The old rancher said, "When your driving down a country road, and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a ‘post turtle’ ".

The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor’s face, so he continued to explain, "You know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, and he doesn’t know what to do while he’s up there, and you just wonder what kind of dumbass put him up there to begin with".

Never will I give money to my College again!

I have called and made sure the dean of my school knows how I will NEVER provide any support for the school for allowing this WAKO left wing activist teach any classes that try to brain wash the students.

DENVER (CBS4) ? Metro State College is investigating a professor who asked students to write an essay critical of Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin. One student said the instructor singled out Republican students in the class and allowed others to ridicule them.
“I was shocked, I was holy cow, this is just an open door for him to discuss politics with us,” said Jana Barber, a student in the class.
Barber shared the first class assignment with CBS4. Instructor Andrew Hallam asked students to write an essay to contradict what he called the ‘fairy tale image of Palin’ presented at the Republican National Convention.
“What the faculty’s responsibility is to provide opportunity for critical thinking and civic engagement so bringing something of relevancy into the classroom was the faculty’s goal,” said Cathy Lucas, spokeswoman for Metro State. “Should he have broadened it and included all the political figures, yes.”
Metro State officials are investigating claims of bias, harassment and bullying.
Hallam declined an interview with CBS4. He has revised the assignment.
Students may now write about any of the candidates.

If you want to call here is the main number to voice your opinion.

Rock Star

NoBomma is a Celeberity and has no place with normal people.

Mike Medavoy chairman and CEO of Phoenix Pictures, center wearing sunglasses, and Ted Harbert president and CEO of the Comcast Entertainment Group, third from right, arrive at the Greystone mansion in Beverly Hills, Calif., for a fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill. Tuesday Sept. 16, 2008. The Oscar-winning singer and actress Barbra Streisand was to perform Tuesday night on Obama’s behalf in Beverly Hills, California. It was to be a two-step evening with a reception and dinner costing $28,500 a person followed by a later event featuring Streisand at $2,500 a ticket. (AP Photo/Kevork Djansezian)

The Socialist left wing of the left wing

That would be the Rocky Mountain News.

Mike Littwin is really just a NoBamma supporter that has a money losing news rag to whine at.

LITTWIN(Loser bytch): Palin as phenom: It’s a mystery

All I know is that I’ve never seen anything quite like the Palin phenomenon. And it’s not just me. I consulted my sources. I delved into the ancient texts. I even did the Google. It was unanimous.

Remember that all of his sources are in the DNC and tell him what to think, (not that he can).

The next thing you know, Obama, fresh from his Mile-High embrace, is on Letterman joking that he used to be on magazine covers, but now the best offer he can get is from Popular Mechanics.

And yes, he is whining that he is not the golden boy with less experience than Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden.

Double standards

If you don’t think the left news rags have double standards check this out.

they ignored the hate America hate mongering pastor of Nobama that was a leader in his hate america family for over 20 years.

They down play the reality of it because he is a jackass.

But they are looking at the wildest items in Sara Palin’s past and growing it into something, anything. the question is what will stick if they through enough crap on the wall.

The pastor whose prayer Sarah Palin says helped her to become governor of Alaska founded his ministry with a witchhunt against a Kenyan woman who he accused of causing car accidents through demonic spells.

Pointing the finger and trying to duck the blame!

Not able to take any responsibility for fucking things up.

House Speaker

when asked Tuesday whether Democrats bear some of the responsibility regarding the current crisis on Wall Street, had a one-word answer: “No.”

Pelosi (D-Calif.) ripped President Bush’s “mismanagement” of the economy and a lack of regulation that led to the current situation.

When in reality they are the cause!

From the NYT (which I am surprised they didn’t remove/revise this article already).

President Clinton signed into law today a sweeping overhaul of Depression-era banking laws. The measure lifts barriers in the industry and allows banks, securities firms and insurance companies to merge and to sell each other’s products.

This is not including the requirement for these banks to start the sub-prim markets and provide loans to the 10% of Americans that could not meet the payments and allowed foreclosures.

Privacy restrictions going to sea

So, we all know there is no privacy on the Internet.

But Google wants to take your private information off shore so the protection laws will not apply to what they do with your information.

In a startling new take on data center engineering, Google has filed a patent for a “water-based data center” that uses the ocean to provide power and cooling. The patent also confirms Google’s development of a container-based data center, describing “crane-removable modules” to power the computing platforms.

and they don’t want to only save electrical costs.

Alaska is not a fly over state

Just thinking of the wako left commie melt down that is in the left news media.

They don’t know what to do about Sara Palin because they have never flown over Alaska let alone talked to one until the selection as VP of the Popular Gov. Alaska is too big to be a fly over state

They think (incorrectly) that they understand Colorado because the fly over it between NY and LA. They will never understand Alaska as it is out of the way, and too big for their little minds.

Gun Ban not working in Obomanation city with all guns being outlawed.

I found this from an Anti-gun email.

125 Shot Dead In Chicago Over Summer

Total Is About Double The U.S. Troop Death Toll In Iraq

CHICAGO (CBS) ? An estimated 125 people were shot and killed over the summer. That’s nearly double the number of U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq over the same time period.

So Chicago is more dangerous than the country of Iraq?

In May, cbs2chicago.com began tracking city shootings and posting them on Google maps. Information compiled from our reporters, wire service reports and the Chicago Police Major Incidents log indicated that 125 people were shot and killed throughout the city between the start of Memorial Day weekend on May 26, and the end of Labor Day on Sept. 1.
According to the Defense Department, 65 U.S. soldiers were killed in combat in Iraq. About the same number were killed in Afghanistan over that same period.
In the same time period, an estimated 247 people were shot and wounded in the city.

(emphasis mine)

So outlaw guns and only outlaws will have guns.

Another turn of this, outlaw guns and every law abiding gun owner will become an outlaw by merely not turning in legally owned guns to the government that is not responsible for protecting them.

Makes sense in the city of the Obomessiah seeking handouts from the government while removing your right and ability to protect your self from the thugs.
