Where’s the Kool-Aid

Reading ‘Not Moderates but GOP Wimps’  by Debra Saunders I get the feeling I get when I read or hear any media try to explain why the GOP is dead.

Buckley did not claim that Obama’s policies are better. Indeed, he wrote that he will “pray, secularly” for Obama to betray the traditional left-wing politics he espouses. Powell told NBC’s “Meet the Press” that he supported Obama “because of his ability to inspire, because of the inclusive nature of his campaign, because he is reaching out all across America” — not because of Obama’s position papers.

I continue to wonder where this inclusive part comes from because I have never gotten that from any of his robots!

When Obamacons explain why they are deserting the GOP nominee, you don’t hear them arguing that Obama will do better by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. They don’t say that Obama has the best ideas for the economy. They instead lean on the belief that Obama can bring people together.

I have been called every name in the book when I want to listen (it is hard sometimes) and try to understand people that drank the Kool-Aid. I ask questions and because I don’t get answers that I understand I ask more.  This brings the hate out and the ugly nature of the robots that want to remove all people that don’t tow the line…

Is it a red pill or a blue pill? Is it a paper cup of Kool-Aid? where can I find this magic that will wipe my mind of all fear of ‘The One’ I can’t wait until the next 8 years of failed policies of a crat burns the ears of every fool that wants to steal his piece of the pie.

I am very tired of the fear mongering in the Obomamedia that is causing this economic downturn. Lets get over this and start the huge layoffs so we can get to the recall votes….what was the shine in that paper cup?

‘Admitting’ is the first step

WOW, abc News printed a column by Michael Malone on why the media is so screwed up.

The sheer bias in the print and television coverage of this election campaign is not just bewildering, but appalling. And over the last few months I’ve found myself slowly moving from shaking my head at the obvious one-sided reporting, to actually shouting at the screen of my television and my laptop computer.

But worst of all, for the last couple weeks, I’ve begun — for the first time in my adult life — to be embarrassed to admit what I do for a living. A few days ago, when asked by a new acquaintance what I did for a living, I replied that I was “a writer,” because I couldn’t bring myself to admit to a stranger that I’m a journalist.

What amazes me is he is being truthful but in doing so he is going to burn every bridge in the media today (other than FOX I think)

So, when I say I’m deeply ashamed right now to be called a “journalist,” you can imagine just how deep that cuts into my soul.

He does have a good point, I don’t want a media to not question the people I think I might like. this helps me understand if my thoughts are correct or not. but I do want them to also question the other side that I think I don’t like…. Not because I feel anything but because they might not be as bad I as think.

If someone gets a pass on the hard questions I do have an issue in believing he deserves what he was given…and this means I will not give him my respect. he/she didn’t earn it…

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not one of those people who think the media has been too hard on, say, Republican vice presidential nominee Gov. Sarah Palin, by rushing reportorial SWAT teams to her home state of Alaska to rifle through her garbage. This is the big leagues, and if she wants to suit up and take the field, then Gov. Palin better be ready to play.

and he hits the nail on the head and I don’t care if the industry dies and they lose all of their retirements, they haven’t earned it for the last couple decades….

Bad Editors

Why? I think I know, because had my life taken a different path, I could have been one: Picture yourself in your 50s in a job where you’ve spent 30 years working your way to the top, to the cockpit of power & only to discover that you’re presiding over a dying industry. The Internet and alternative media are stealing your readers, your advertisers and your top young talent. Many of your peers shrewdly took golden parachutes and disappeared. Your job doesn’t have anywhere near the power and influence it did when your started your climb. The Newspaper Guild is too weak to protect you any more, and there is a very good chance you’ll lose your job before you cross that finish line, 10 years hence, of retirement and a pension.

I also think the lies are driving the readers away faster because if you look at Fox or the WSJ it is it is stable because it puts out facts as facts and opinion as opinion..

so the question is now what?
