Gary gun-violence lawsuit

If guns kill people, spoons makes people fat!

One by one, local governments have filed lawsuits that try to hold firearms manufacturers responsible for gun violence on city streets.

And, one by one, the lawsuits have either been dismissed by courts or dropped. Until last week.

Gary ’slim ball money grubbing’ lawyers  want to sue the gun manufacturing companies because dirt ball douche bags commit crimes with guns.

I want to know when they are going to file a lawsuit against the auto manufacturers because more people are killed with cars than guns each year.

What a waste of time and money.

Bush Commutes Sentences

Its about time!

On his last full day in office, President Bush commuted the controversial sentences of two former Border Patrol agents convicted of shooting a Mexican drug runner in 2005.

The imprisonment of Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean had sparked outcry from critics who said the men were just doing their jobs and were punished too harshly. They had been sentenced to 11- and 12-year sentences, respectively.

Their sentences will now expire on March 20 of this year.

Ramos and Compean were sentenced in connection with the shooting of Osvaldo Aldrete Davila, who was shot in the buttocks while trying to flee along the Texas border. He admitted smuggling several hundred pounds of marijuana on the day he was shot and pleaded guilty last year to drug charges related to two other smuggling attempts.

The pair’s case ignited debate across the country, as a chorus of organizations and members of Congress — many of them Republican — argued that the men were just doing their jobs. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., was particularly outspoken on the issue, at one time describing Ramos and Compean as “unjustly convicted men who never should have been prosecuted in the first place.”

Nearly the entire congressional delegation from Texas and other lawmakers from both sides of the political aisle pleaded with Bush to grant them clemency. Conservatives hailed Bush’s decision Monday.

“The whole thing was ridiculous from beginning to end, and two years was way too long for them to serve,” said radio talk show host Laura Ingraham. “Conservatives are very happy across the country.”

His legacy would have been shit if he didn’t do this. he should have prosecuted the prosecutor for this instead of allowing this to go as far as it did.

"We’re Gonna Be in the Hudson"

Good training, good skills, and good team work.

A first look at ATC tapes and crew interviews revealed Sunday that US Airways Flight 1549 suffered a dual engine loss a mere 90 seconds after takeoff. Quoting from the ATC transcript, the NTSB’s Kitty Higgins said at 3:27:32, the flight was instructed to turn left to 270 degrees. The crew responded: “Ah, Cactus 1549 & hit birds, we lost thrust in both engines. We’re turning back toward LaGuardia.” At 3:28:05, 33 seconds later, ATC asked if the crew wanted to return to LaGuardia. “We’re unable. We may end up in the Hudson,”

It really is the whole team that reduced the lose of life to zero.

The AP also reported that once the aircraft was in the water, a quick-thinking flight attendant stopped a passenger from opening one of the rear doors, which was by then below the waterline. This may have reduced flooding and given the passengers precious seconds to exit the cabin.
