Joe Legal vs. Jose Illegal

Joe Legal vs. Jose Illegal
Here is an example of why hiring illegal aliens is not economically productive for the State of California
You have 2 families…"Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal".

Both families have 2 parents, 2 children and live in California.

"Joe Legal" works in construction, has a Social Security Number, and makes $25.00 per hour with payroll taxes deducted…..

"Jose Illegal" also works in construction, has "NO" Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".

Joe Legal…$25.00 per hour x 40 hours $1000.00 per week, $52,000 per year.
Now take 30% away for state & federal tax Joe Legal now has $31,231.00
Jose Illegal…$15..00 per hour x 40 hours $600.00 per week, $31,200.00 per year
Jose Illegal pays no taxes… Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00

Joe Legal pays Medical and Dental Insurance with limited coverage $1000.00 per month $12,000.00 per year.  Joe Legal now has $19,231.00
Jose Illegal has full Medical and Dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year.   Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00

Joe Legal makes too much money is not eligible for Food Stamps or welfare. Joe Legal pays for food $1,000.00 per month $12,000.00 per year.  Joe Legal now has $ 7,231.00
Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for Food Stamps and welfare,Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,000.00 per month $12,000.00 per year Joe Legal is now in the hole minus (-) $4,769.00
Jose Illegal receives a $500 per month Federal rent subsidy. Jose Illegal pays rent $500.00 per month $6,000.00 per year Jose Illegal still has $25,200.00

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work.
Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal’s and Jose Illegal’s children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his children’s lunches while Jose Illegal’s children get a government sponsored lunch.
Jose Illegal’s children have an after school ESL program. Joe Legal’s children go home.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same Police and Fire Services, but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

Senate GOP Shows It’s Spine

Michelle Malkin points to an article that made me smile this morning. Senate Republicans are introducing a series of bills designed to make the lives of illegal immigrants a little less free and easy. I like it.

WASHINGTON - Senate Republicans are set to announce Wednesday the hardest-hitting package of immigration enforcement measures seen yet — one that would require jail time for illegal immigrants caught crossing the border, make it harder for them to open bank accounts and compel them to communicate in English when dealing with federal agencies.
[...]
Other bills in the package would:

• Block federal funding from cities that bar their police from asking about immigration status.

• Give the Department of Homeland Security the authority to use information from the Social Security Administration to target illegal immigrants.

• Require construction of 700 miles of fencing along the Southern border, not including vehicle barriers.

• Impose sanctions on countries that refuse to repatriate their citizens.

• Deport any immigrant, legal or illegal, for one drunken-driving conviction.

• Enable local and state police to enforce federal immigration laws

Of course the Lemoncrats have decried this:

Jim Manley, a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said the Republican proposal “falls far short of what is needed.” Democrats want to combine enforcement with a guest-worker program and a way to deal with the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants. Reid “continues to support legislation that is tough on people who break the law, fair to taxpayers and practical to implement,” Manley said.

Yeah…

And since McCain has become the GOP candidate, chances are fairly slim anything really substantive will be done. But we can dream:

f McCain endorsed the Senate package, that could “create a platform for McCain to look tough on immigration, create distance from Ted Kennedy and erect a shield around the amnesty charge,” Kelley said.

All we’re asking for is illegal immigrants be stopped from using up our resources, from taking our jobs and destroying our culture. I guess it’s too much to expect…we pesky Americans are selfish.

Nightmare Act Dead, Once Again

The reincarnation of the Dream Act has ended. Once again, for now. Expect it to come back to haunt us soon enough.

Via Hot Air:

Quick and easy scan of Democrats voting against: Baucus, Byrd, Conrad, Dorgan, Landrieu, Pryor, Tester, and good ol’ McCaskill, whose objections to amnesty evidently don’t end at labor concerns. Republicans voting for: Bennett, Coleman, Collins, our friend Larry Craig, Hagel, Hatch, Hutchison, Lott, Lugar, “Amnesty Mel” Martinez, Snowe, and Sam Brownback, who was free to show his true colors today sans 11th-hour switch.

Remember the RINOS.

From the AP:

WASHINGTON (AP) - Legislation to give some children of illegal immigrants a path toward legality failed a crucial Senate vote Wednesday, probably dooming any chance of major changes to the immigration system this year.

Supporters needed to 60 votes to advance the proposal, but the tally was 52-44. The measure would have allowed illegal immigrants who plan to attend college or join the military, and who came to the United States with their families before they turned 16, to move toward legality.

The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act - DREAM ACT for short - was a popular part of a broad immigration plan that would have legalized as many as 12 million unlawful immigrants and fortified the border.

That larger bill failed in the Senate in June. But proponents of the DREAM Act wanted to see if it would pass on its own.

“Children should not be penalized for the actions of their parents,” said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

“What crime did these children commit?” added Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., the Senate’s No. 2 Democrat. “They committed the crime of obeying their parents and following their parents to this country. Do you think there was a vote in the household about their future? I don’t think so.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said by blocking the bill, “Senate Republicans prevented a critical first step to address our nation’s broken immigration system.”

Ahh yes, let’s fix the very broken system by saying it’s all for the children. Pfft. While I do have some sympathy for the kids, I have none for their parents, who are criminals and who made choices that led to this status. They use their children as pawns in this issue, and to me, that is the worst thing a parent can do. Never mind this Act would have been the bloodline that feeds many future generations of parasite. The Republicans did the right thing, for once!

Dream Act Nightmare Continues

Amnesty is sneaking up again.

Michelle Malkin:

Fresh off the S-CHIP debacle and their FISA retreat, the Dems look to the illegal alien tuition subsidy legislation known as the DREAM Act for redemption.

Time to take some action folks!

(October 22) By invoking Senate Rule XIV on S. 2205, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has paved the way for prompt (and ill-advised) floor action on the measure, Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin’s (D-Ill.) new stand-alone DREAM Act amnesty bill. The procedural move, made late last week, means that the DREAM Act may be brought to the Senate floor as early as Tuesday (October 23) without ever having been considered in committee.

S. 2205, which is cosponsored by long-tenured Republicans Chuck Hagel (R-Neb.) and Dick Lugar (R-Ind.), is, essentially, the same amnesty offered up for consideration by Durbin as an amendment (SA 2919) to H.R. 1585, the Defense Department (DoD) authorization bill for fiscal year 2008. The Senate passed that bill October 1 without ever taking up the DREAM Act amendment or amendments concerning increased worker importation.

In this most recent iteration, the DREAM Act authorizes DHS to cancel removal for, or adjust to lawful permanent resident status (in other words, grant amnesty to), an alien who is inadmissible or deportable in cases where the alien demonstrated that he/she:

* has maintained continuous presence in the United States for five years and was not yet 16 years old upon initial entry, but is no older than 30 years of age;
* is of “good moral character” and is not inadmissible or deportable on certain criminal grounds or on the basis of being a risk to national security; and
* has been admitted to an institution of higher education, has attained a high school diploma, or has obtained a GED in the United States.

This ill-conceived proposal, which would grant amnesty to illegal aliens who satisfy these criteria as of enactment, also would be a rolling amnesty drawing more illegal aliens here in the future to apply for amnesty.

First off, we all know these illegals are NOT of good moral character- their mere presence here in the US shows us they have NO MORALS. Breaking laws is unethical…AND don’t be fooled by this rhetoric sounding as though it’s for the children. Bullshit. This faulty legislation is amnesty for all illegal immigrants and those who wish to USE the children in the game.

This latter revision would narrow, but would not close, a gaping loophole in this amnesty because any illegal alien up to age 30 can still walk into any U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office, declare that he is eligible, and be granted amnesty with minimal documentation of eligibility. That 30-year-old could claim that he illegally entered the United States when he was 15, but there is no requirement that the alien prove that he entered the United States at the claimed time by providing particular documents. The proposal would merely require him to “demonstrate” that he is eligible, which in practice could mean simply making a sworn statement to that effect. Thus, it would be an invitation for just about every illegal alien 30 and under to fraudulently claim the amnesty.

The Lemoncrats (TM) are trying to sneak this into vote as soon as tomorrow. We must counter this with phone calls to our elected reps ASAP.

Capitol switchboard - 202-224-3121.
NOW. And first thing in the morning. Let them know how you feel.

Mr. President: Order Pardons For the Agents

If Bush can commute Scooter Libby’s sentence, he can PARDON the agents.

Two California congressmen, one of whom introduced legislation this year calling for a congressional pardon for two U.S. Border Patrol agents, say that if President Bush can commute the sentence of former White House aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, he can order pardons for the agents.

“If the president of the United States is going to commute the sentence of Scooter Libby, he should immediately accompany that with a pardon for Border Patrol agents Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos,” said Rep. Duncan Hunter, California Republican and 2008 presidential candidate.

“If Scooter Libby is going to receive this treatment, and there very well could be a compelling reason for the president’s actions, agents Compean and Ramos should then be provided a full pardon,” said Mr. Hunter, whose bill has 100 co-sponsors. “Mr. President, pardon our Border Patrolmen.”

100 co-sponsers?? Come on Mr. President. Be a man here and pardon the two men who were simply doing their job and in the line of that work, got caught up in something bigger than anyone can understand. Many of us smell really foul play here- and it’s not coming from the agents. The agents are serving prison time which is excessive while the illegal drug smuggler is free. There’s a problem here and only Bush can solve it now.

Too harsh on illegal aliens and a poor deal for U.S. workers?

It seems that everyone has issues with the immigration bill. Even the labor groups. And Hispanics.

Labor and Hispanic groups yesterday told senators to scrap their immigration bill and go back to the drawing board, saying that the proposal now before the Senate has become too harsh on illegal aliens and a poor deal for U.S. workers.

In separate press conferences, the Hispanic rights groups and labor leaders, including the AFL-CIO, joined a growing group of critics from both the left and the right who say current law is better than the immigration bill that President Bush and a small bipartisan group of senators are pushing.

“This takes a problem we have and, instead of solving it, makes it worse,” said Richard L. Trumka, secretary-treasurer of the AFL-CIO. He said the temporary-worker program that the bill sets up would hurt U.S. workers by providing a source of cheap labor that would depress Americans’ wages.

Meanwhile from the immigrant-advocacy side, a handful of Hispanic groups yesterday said the Senate bill started off poorly, became worse after the first two weeks of amendments and is now unfixable.

“Let’s go back to the drawing board,” said Lillian Rodriguez-Lopez, president of the Hispanic Federation.

It says a lot when the very people who we all think stand to gain the most from all this, are against it. Perhaps they see the backlash from American workers? Or maybe they just KNOW this is immoral and unethical. Either way, the bill is under constant fire from many people and the Congress needs to hear that. I am really starting to think it’s not that complicated at all. Take the current rules and laws and JUST. ENFORCE. THEM.

I Now Renounce My American Citizenship

I have given up the fight.

America is gone. That’s right. Gone.

When a government makes legal the very illegal people and presence of such people- we have lost one of our most valued and honored traits.

I Now renounce My American Citizenship.
Because it means NOTHING anymore.

I am going to become a law breaker. I will rob banks and steal people’s identities. I’m going to join a gang. I’m going to drive with without a license, and drive drunk and perhaps kill people. I’m going to lie, cheat and steal in as many areas as I can to get by in life. And you can bet I am dropping my insurances and will use the ER’s for all my medical needs- and if a time comes when I need medical care as in a hospitalization, I might take a bed from some stupid American who needs it more than I do..but because I am of a special class I won’t be kicked out of that bed.

I will work…at the Swift meat plants in Colorado and earn a healthy 5.75/hr- not nearly enough to support me and my illegal habits BUT this is America. I don’t have an incentive to better myself or my job. Cause the government has special programs JUST FOR ME. I can buy all the food I need with a special food stamp program designed for ME, I can get credit cards and bank accounts and loans…and never really have to pay them back. I will walk by those dumb Americans who USED to work for Swift but who demanded to be paid 12 bucks an hour..those Americans who just asked for too much. The cash I earn at my job will pay for the illegal drugs I will use every day. Speaking of illegal drugs, whats illegal anymore anyway?

I will go out and find a different guy every yr for the next 4 or 5 yrs and pop out babies left and right, JUST so I can collect welfare designated JUST for me. And the anchor babies, which is really the only reason I will pop em out. My anchor babies will receive a fair and just education, in the language and customs of my newly minted Hispanic origin…and we won’t have to pay a red penny for this education. College is in reach for the children too- free of course or at highly reduced tuition entitlements.

Just do do my part to keep the American dream alive you know. THAT dream of entering the great bright city on the hill to collect freebies and welfare and of course, to steal jobs those rich and snooty Americans think they deserve.

Heh-screw all you Americans.

THIS IS MY COUNTRY NOW!

Who Am I??
An illegal parasite. Welcomed with open warm arms by the Government of the United States of America.

Grass-roots donors’ rebellion

Hmm…Does the GOP not understand what is happening with it’s base??

The Republican National Committee, hit by a grass-roots donors’ rebellion over President Bush’s immigration policy, has fired all 65 of its telephone solicitors, Ralph Z. Hallow will report Friday in The Washington Times.

They FIRED ALL of the staff??

What’s going on here??

“The phone-bank employees were terminated,” RNC spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt wrote by e-mail in response to questions sent by The Times. “This was not an easy decision. The first and primary motivating factor was the state of the phone bank technology, which was outdated and difficult to maintain. The RNC was advised that we would soon need an entire new system to remain viable.”

Why not keep the folks on the payroll until the new systems are updated?

Is there any truth to this?

There has been a sharp decline in contributions from RNC phone solicitations, another fired staffer said, reporting that many former donors flatly refuse to give more money to the national party if Mr. Bush and the Senate Republicans insist on supporting what these angry contributors call “amnesty” for illegal aliens.

“Everyone donor in 50 states we reached has been angry, especially in the last month and a half, and for 99 percent of them immigration is the No. 1 issue,” said the former employee.

I’ll admit this: They called me and I told them WHERE TO STUFF their request for donations. Ahem…I also hung up on them. Why? Because the GOP has pissed me off with this Illegal Amnesty Bullshit, that’s why. And I immediately went over to Tancredo’s site and donated more cash to his campaign. Enough said.

A bright future in politics

He should be a Congressman.

ALLENTOWN, Pennsylvania — After trying to run illegal immigrants out of town, just about everywhere Hazleton Mayor Lou Barletta goes these days, someone inevitably urges him to run for higher office: County commissioner. Congress. President of the United States.

While flattered, Barletta said his only interest for now is winning re-election this year. The Republican mayor is seeking a third term, defying expectations that he would try to parlay his newfound fame as a crusader against illegal immigration into a higher post.

Republican activists say Barletta, 51, has a bright future in politics — if he wants it.

“Politically, he’s done himself a world of good,” said Republican media consultant John Brabender. “The real question is, where does he go from here, and what is the right office. But certainly he’s put himself in a position to consider a number of offices.”

We need more ballsy people like this, who will stand up for Americans FIRST and who will put some pride back in the term, LAW AND ORDER. Illegal immigrants, parasites that they are, are first and foremost, LAWBREAKERS. Not exactly the kind of people we should be asking Congress to give amnesty to.

This is too difficult

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has come up with a new test immigrants can chose to take -it’s a pilot program right now.

Immigrant rights groups are concerned the test is too hard.

One of the questions immigrants might be asked is this:
“What country is on the southern border of the United States?”

Damn Coloradans

So where is Michael anyway??

He’s OK…I’ve talked to him a couple times and he survived his trek to Colorado and then to Cali, and then back. It took him a little longer than he anticipated cause the rental truck wouldn’t go faster than 70mph. He’s getting settled down at the new job and all that. I would be NUMB from all that riding, thats for sure!

What else is new?? Our guy, Tom Tancredo has caused yet another uproar…this time he called Miami a “third world country”. It’s true- because of the high numbers of illegal immigrants there. I respect Tom for daring to speak the truth for what it is, without regard to being politically sensitive to those who would be offended.

KUSA - Republican Rep. Tom Tancredo made waves by comparing Miami, Florida to a “Third World country,” causing Florida politicians to lash back.

He initially made the remarks at a “Restoration Weekend” event over the weekend in Palm Beach, Florida.

The four-day Florida event focused in part on immigration and brought guests like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter together.

In an interview with a conservative online news site, Tancredo commented on Florida’s largest city saying, “Look at what has happened to Miami. It has become a Third World country. You just pick it up and take it and move it someplace. You would never know you’re in the United States of America. You would certainly say you’re in a Third World country.”

Tancredo reinforced his position to 9NEWS on Tuesday citing Miami’s poverty and crime rates.

“I don’t think the analogy is that far off,” he said.

“It’s important to Coloradans, and everybody else who believes themselves to be Americans - who are comfortable with the idea of being an American. As opposed to the people in Miami, who feel comfortable with the fact they don’t have to be,” said Tancredo.

He said Miami is not the only city in America facing these issues.

“What we see today in Miami, Los Angeles, Nuevo Laredo, we will eventually see throughout the United States,” said Tancredo.

Florida politicians have expressed anger in the wake of Tancredo’s comments.

Yes, Jeb Bush called Tom a “nut” for making these statements. Why is Tom a nut, for pointing out the truth? It’s no secret Bush and company are pro-illegal immigrant.

Congressman Tom Tancredo, who has perfected the art of stirring up political storms, is reveling in controversy again. And, like a pig rolling in mud, he’s loving every minute of it.

Not that we’re calling him a pig, of course. But Florida Gov. Jeb Bush had another name for the Littleton Republican: “What a nut,” the president’s brother told reporters. “I’m just disappointed \[that\] he’s a Republican. He doesn’t represent my views.”

Of course Tom doesn’t represent Jeb’s views. Jeb doesn’t live in CO and he didn’t vote for Tom. And it’s sad that Tom has to speak for so many in Miami who no longer recognize their city, Jeb.

The political ramifications are continuing for Tom:

Violence erupted at a Michigan law school Thursday when protestors tried to block a speech by Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo.

Police were called after protestors pulled a fire alarm prior to the speech on immigration policies. There were at least three violent incidents with protestors targeting student backers of the event, Tancredo, R-Littleton, said today.

“One was spit on, one was kicked, and one was punched,” Tancredo said in an e-mail. “Tires were also slashed.”

So much for peaceful protest from those who call themselves Lemoncrats (TM)…Tom is speaking to the facts and Lemoncrats AND Illegals cannot handle it.

We need more people like Tancredo- he’s no nut. He’s smart and tells it like it is. Not too many polcats have the NUTS to do this.

Liberal Corts and

Federal Judge Kathleen Cardon SUCKS! ( I love free speech)

I am not able to find anything in Google on her. I wonder if she is a liberal?

Federal Judge Kathleen Cardone has denied a request by Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean for a continuance in their case.

The two agents were convicted back in March for shooting an alleged drug smuggler who was running away from them, and covering it up.

Ramos and Compean were seeking the continuance in their sentencing, citing increased national attention and a pending hearing on the case in the U.S. House as reasons.

This is effectively shutting down the border patrol from doing their job, and dismantling the war on drugs…

Republicans say Pelosi will raise taxes

In a Republican National Committee email I get this.

Wannabe Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has outlined her plan for the first 100 hours of her rule, the AP reports.  And she admits, that in those first hundred hours, one of her top priorities is raising taxes.

“…she said, Bush-era tax cuts would have to be rolled back for those above ‘a certain level.’ She mentioned annual incomes of $250,000 or $300,000 a year and higher, and said tax rates for those individuals might revert to those of the Clinton era. Details will have to be worked out, she emphasized.”

And of course “details will have to be worked out” likely means “why stop there.”

OK, I get the idea of the Democrats want to raise taxes, I see this as a constant with the way the current leadership is spending money (like they are really Democrats too) and giving it away to other countries.

But why is the RNC not fighting for what most Republicans want. A simple fence to stop the illegal’s from crossing so easily, pushing states rights, protecting Americans from Foreign and domestic terrorists.

I am a Republican but McCain and most of the Republican party are not representing me.

It is time for Change, I just wish it wasn’t going to be changing to Democrats in charge.

Dear Senator McCain

The Honorable John McCain
241 Russell Senate Ofc. Bldg.
United States Senate
Washington DC 20510

Dear Senator McCain,

As a native Coloradoan now living in Arizona, and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Immigration and Naturalization Service in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you. For som ereason they told me to bring a head of lettuce and you would find me a jobs that pays $50 per hour with no taxes taken out

My reasons for wishing to change my status from U.S.citizen to illegal alien stem from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you sponsored. If my understanding of this bill’s provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, what I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years.

I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out. Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year, so I’m excited about the prospect of avoiding two of the last five years taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine.

Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent return for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005. I estimate a gross savings of approximately $72,000. After the fine, this would yield me a net savings of $70,000. In addition, I would reap the other benefits of being an illegal alien such as free healthcare, avoidance of paying Social Security taxes, buying automobile insurance, serving on jury panels, etc.

If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance.

Your loyal constituent,

Michael

Hat Tip for the letter from my good friend Mustang
