Tribute to American Heroes (every US Military Member)

Killed in action the week before, the body of Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, on June 11, 2009 .
The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough , Georgia . A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time.
The link below is a short travelogue of that day’s remarkable and painful journey.

Please share widely.

Insight into the Palestinians minds.

I have heard many times that children show what they are taught. What these children are taught should scare the shit out of you.

This is what Jimmy ‘peanut brains’ Carter supports. These people don’t want peace.

They don’t want a better life, they are a cult of death!

Hat tip to Kender for the link.

Two Bit Whore

Cynthia Mckinney is a two bit whore working for the destruction of Israel.

In the name of peace she wants to supply medical supplied to the Hamas that are sending missiles into Israel on a daily basis. If the puppet master Iran can’t provide medical supplies to the puppets in Hamas with the rockets they are detrimentally sending into Israel, then to bad. Iran should ship medical supplies instead of missiles.

And the left wing run Military.com plays into the hand of the anti war media.

LARNACA, Cyprus - Israeli naval vessels reportedly have rammed a Gaza-bound boat carrying doctors, medical supplies and international peace activists — among them former U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney.

Loser

McKinney, who unsuccessfully ran this year for the U.S. presidency on the Green Party ticket, said she will petition U.S. President-elect Barack Obama to speak out against the Israeli attacks on Gaza.

What about speaking out against the mooslim puppets called Hamas? what about speaking out against the random rockets shot into Israel?  What about speaking out against the backers of this non-state group that has a goal of removing the state of Israel from the planet?

I read the military.com site to gather leftist views of the Hate America First groups. outside of that, it is a waist of a site….

Human Life vs Human Rights

The whining and temper tantrums have begun, again. In earnest.

WASHINGTON — Democrats and human rights advocates criticized President Bush’s veto Saturday of a bill that would have banned the CIA from using simulated drowning and other coercive interrogation methods to gain information from suspected terrorists.

Bush said such tactics have helped foil terrorist plots. His critics likened some methods to torture and said they sullied America’s reputation around the world.

Yeah…well our reputation is only as good as our ability to survive attacks and acts of war against us. Prior to 9-11-01, much of the world viewed the US as an impotent giant. Much to the Democrats and others’ pleasure.

“Were it not for this program, our intelligence community believes that al-Qaida and its allies would have succeeded in launching another attack against the American homeland,” the president said.

I agree. While some people cry like babies about how water boarding is harmful to human beings, I can only imagine what the people who were inside the WTC buildings were thinking on the morning of September 11 2001.

I dare to say, if they knew, they would have much preferred to be water boarded than pulverized to death in the collapse of those towers.

Heck, I bet they would have preferred we water boarded those 19 Islamafreakoids had we suspected such an attack was being plotted and soon carried out.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

But who cares about them? Not Democrats. Or human rights advocates. Fuck no. A few thousand lives here and there are the price to pay for being…humane… and we should view these lives as an expendable price for human rights.

“The president’s refusal to sign this crucial legislation into law will undermine counterterrorism efforts globally and delay efforts to rebuild U.S. credibility on human rights,” said Elisa Massimino, Washington director for Human Rights First.

May I ask? Who the fuck gives a shit about the human rights of people who have no respect for humanity? When we are at a point in time where the rights of criminals and terrorists take precedent over their potential victims, we’re in sad times for sure.

Surrendering? Or Being Smart?

I’m not sure what to think about this.

BRUSSELS — Private and public television stations have refused to air the anti-Muslim film “Fitna” by Dutch politician Geert Wilders, fearing a violent backlash that prompted the government to raise its terror threat level yesterday.

“I had hoped that a television broadcaster would say: ‘You have the right to do this, we will give you a podium’,” he told Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad.

A Justice Ministry statement said, “While there are no concrete indications of impending attacks in the Netherlands, the increased international terrorism threat has prompted [us] to raise the threat level for the Netherlands.”

The film could be sold to private citizens, who could choose to buy and watch it, or not.

The Taliban has threatened to target 1,600 Dutch soldiers stationed in the country if the movie is shown.

In negotiations with several private and public television stations this week, Mr. Wilders insisted that his film not be censored or edited. The networks were unwilling to meet those demands, the Dutch newspaper de Vokskrant reported.

The Taliban makes a threat and I see this as giving in to their demands. Yet, for the 15 minutes of film I question whether it’s important enough to shown to the public.

The Good Guy Marine Fund

I found this site through a Google Alert. I haven’t checked it out fully, but from what I can see it looks awesome!

The Good Guys Marine Fund.

The 64-member Good Guys of Morgan Run is a non-partisan, a-political, IRS registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Since 2005, The Good Guys have organized an annual spring fund raising drive which has resulted in more than $400,000 in donations.

100% of the money donated to The Good Guys is distributed to worthy Marines wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan in the form of individual grants of $5,000 each, 24/7 emergency funds, and gasoline cards. The Good Guys work closely with U.S. Marine Corps Commanding Officers to identify candidates for grants. All expenses of the organization are underwritten and paid for by members of The Good Guys.

I’m always into helping Marines, and those who are wounded have a special place in my heart. I’m going to consider these Good Guys for future donations.

Sharia Creep and the Cancer of the World

Muslims don’t wish to cause any trouble in the world. They have no desire to spread their religion of peace to any and all corners of the Earth. We have nothing to fear. Says who? Why…Muslims silly! That’s who. And since there have been no repeats of September 11th, we must believe and trust these people.

Leftard/Lemomcrat Rule Number One:
Terrorism at the hands of radical Islam is not a threat. Therefore any War on Terror isn’t real or viable or workable. No planes have been used as bombs since 9-11; no nuclear weapons have detonated over our cities. We’re…safe. We have nothing to worry about.

Meanwhile in all corners of the world a global effort is underway, by Muslims, to change the way of life for many free countries. It’s happening as I type…as you read this…as liberal governments of every nation choose to adapt and alter and surrender the values and tenants of freedom. All in the name of cultural respect, tolerance and good will.

In Australia, Muslim students (mostly Saudi citizens) asked Melbourne universities to adjust class times to fit in with their daily prayers. They also requested female-only recreational areas on campus.
[...]
Meanwhile, on February 26, local officials in Zwolle, Holland decided to lift a ban on Muslim women wearing so-called “burkinis” in public swimming pools. The garment, also known as a hijood, leaves only the wearer’s face, hands and feet exposed.
[...]Closer to home, Harvard University announced new women-only access times at the student gym, to “accommodate religious customs that make it difficult for some students to work out in the presence of men.”

The other day I found an article about how Muslim med students in Britain are refusing to follow proven sanitary and infection control practices, perhaps adding to a huge problem with the spreading of diseases in Britain. The reason the med students are refusing to wash their lower arms after surgeries is because (guess…) it exposes flesh to members of the opposite sex.

What is going on with all this?

“It’s all part of the campaign of soft jihad,” wrote Roger Kimball, editor of The New Criterion. “Traditional jihad is waged with scimitars and their contemporary equivalents, e.g., stolen Boeing 767s, which make handy instruments of mass homicide. Soft jihad is a quieter affair: it uses and abuses the language and the principles of democratic liberalism not to secure the institutions and attitudes that make freedom possible but, on the contrary, to undermine that freedom and pave the way for self-righteous, theocratic intolerance.”

Is there anything a Muslim isn’t offended by?

Are they any places where they don’t demand some change or alteration? The CHIPS portion of Britain’s famous fish and chips have come under the eye of Muslim scrutiny, and it’s just ridiculous:

Senior Muslim figures have said that they are shocked that a number of Walkers snacks contain traces of alcohol and eating them is therefore against their religion.

Again I ask: Is there anything a Muslim isn’t offended by?

Is this sharia creep? And will we allow it to spread like an virulent, nasty disease? Europe is highly infected right now…it may be too late to eradicate this disease over there. Canada and Australia are on the brink, and America’s political will power is about to take a soft balled approach (if a Democrat is elected in November). Remember folks: There are no vaccinations and pills to cure this disease- Islam. Once it takes hold, it is like cancer. It spreads to all aspects of life; it feeds off damaged cells as it destroys the healthy ones…eventually it kills the whole being.

Hunting Anyone?

From one of my good friends:

One of nature’s truths is that deer are attractive animals.  The old stags are majestic, the does are cute, and the fawns are simply adorable.  Yet, each year states grant hunting licenses to people who are then empowered to trek out to the boonies and shoot them, and not for meat, necessarily.   Some hunters shoot deer as trophies.  And the reason for this is that deer populations, if left unchecked, grow out of control and the animals become risks to motorists, pests to farmers and forestlands.

Now consider the ever-increasing population of Muslims in this country.  Would hunting licenses be a solution to the Jihadi problem?   Granted, we would never hunt Jihadis for meat, and few of us would ever want to mount them on the wall of our study as trophies . . . but they do present problems that would seem to warrant a common sense solution.   Plus, unlike deer, Muslims could shoot back, which would be a more sporting proposition.

Besides, Muslims are not majestic, cute, or adorable.  But the real question is, do we have the moral courage to issue annual hunting licenses?

the question is would the ACLU want to sue me because I agree?

Those little gritty details

Torture: Thoughts of fingernails being nailed off of the finger; lit cigarettes being put out on flesh. Human beings experiencing whips and rocks being thrown at them as they are tied up and helpless to defend themselves. People, suspended in air by ropes, having limbs cut up and removed. Body parts, external and internal, being cut up for experimental purposes. All while they are alive. These scenes are from movies. We know this stuff has happened in the past, to American soldiers and others. To Russian citizens who stood up against Stalin. To Jews who were forced into concentration camps.

You can ask every hypothetical you want

An exchange between President Bush and David Gregory, “journalist”- Bush slaps him down and it was well deserved. THIS is the President Bush I love.

..Gregory (third): “Sir, with respect, if other countries interpret the Geneva Conventions as they see fit — as they see fit — you’re saying that you’d be okay with that?”

Bush: “I am saying that I would hope that they would adopt the same standards we adopt; and that by clarifying Article III, we make it stronger, we make it clearer, we make it definite. And I will tell you again, David, you can ask every hypothetical you want, but the American people have got to know the facts. And the bottom line is simple: If Congress passes a law that does not clarify the rules, if they do not do that, the program is not going forward.”

Gregory (fourth): “This will not endanger U.S. troops, in your — “

Bush: “Next man.”

Gregory (fifth): This will not endanger U.S. troops —

Bush: “David, next man, please. Thank you. It took you a long time to unravel, and it took you a long time to ask your question.”

Bush needs to do this more often. And people need to stop worrying themselves into hissydom over what others might think. WHO CARES???

Arabs vs. Jews

Regardless of your feelings about the crisis between Israel and the Palestinians and Arab neighbors, even if you believe there is more culpability on Israel’s part for whatever reason, the following two sentences really say it all:

If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence.

If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel.

Standing with Israel

Consequences:

QANA, Lebanon, July 30 — Israeli warplanes blasted a group of buildings in this southern Lebanese village Sunday, killing dozens of people, most of them women and children, according to Lebanese officials. The Israeli military said the airstrike was aimed at destroying Hezbollah rocket launchers nearby and that civilians were not being targeted.

Lebanese Health Minister Mohammed Khalifeh said the bombing killed at least 57 people, among them 37 children, many of whom had taken refuge in a three-story building. More than 27 bodies, including 17 children ages 9 months to 10 years, were taken to one government hospital in the nearby city of Tyre.

A little history:

Some 150 rockets were fired from the Lebanese village of Qana over the past 20 days, Air Force Chief of Staff Brig.-Gen. Amir Eshel said on Sunday evening.

Speaking to reporters, Eshel added that Hizbullah rocket launchers were hidden in civilian buildings in the village. He proceeded to show video footage of rocket launchers being driven into the village following launches.

Photographic Evidence:

THIS is the picture that damns Hezbollah. It is one of several, smuggled from behind Lebanon’s battle lines, showing that Hezbollah is waging war amid suburbia.

The civilians were warned:

DF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz also expressed sorrow over the loss of innocent life. “We were operating in a place from where Katyushas are being fired and we distributed notices to residents. Unfortunately, people who assembled in the area, whom we were unaware of, were harmed,” said Halutz.
[...]
A high-ranking IAF officer said that the IDF had warned the residents of Qana to evacuate the village in anticipation of the airstrikes on Katyusha launchers.
[...]
“We warned the residents that we would be attacking there,” he said. “We work under the assumption that the villages are empty and that whoever is there is affiliated with Hizbullah.”

And now the whining begins.

CAIR:

WASHINGTON, July 30 /PRNewswire/ – A prominent national Islamic civil rights and advocacy group today said the Bush administration and the international community must act to stop Israel’s campaign of “terror” in Southern Lebanon.

The UN:

UNITED NATIONS — U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan on Sunday repeated his call for an immediate halt to violence between Israel and Hezbollah, condemning an Israeli airstrike that killed at least 54 people and telling the U.N. Security Council he was “deeply disturbed” that his previous calls for cease-fire had gone unheeded.

Few people recognize a nations’ legitimate right to defend itself anymore. Israel is doing just that. They consider this a war. Against Hezbollah- the terrorist group that operates out of Lebanon. The Lebanese people and leadership need to take responsibility for their own complacency in this. Until they do so, these tragic things will continue to happen. Israel is not the problem. Lebanon is part of the problem, and Hezbollah IS the center of the problem. Islamic extremists will go to any length to alter world opinion…including today’s activity. They will set the conditions, including setting up innocent civilians for certain death- just to hear the condemnations against Israel.

Unlike Lebanon, Israel is looking out for the people of it’s country; Lebanon, through it’s enabling of Hezbollah- is exploiting it’s people. I stand with Israel.

Obsession

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I have ordered a couple copies of this movie. Obession: Radical Islam’s War Against The West

This is about radical Islam and the threat we face. We’re going to host a showing here in a couple weeks- inviting several folks over to watch this with us. The idea is to create an awareness of the threat that we aren’t getting from the MSM, Muslim advocacy groups and the left.

From the movie’s web site:

Almost 70 years ago, Europe found itself at war with one of the most sinister figures in modern history: Adolf Hitler. When the last bullet of World War II was fired, over 50 million people were dead, and countless countries were both physically and economically devastated. Hitler’s bloody struggle sought to forge the world anew, in the crucible of Nazi values. How could such a disaster occur? How could the West have overlooked the evil staring it in the face, for so long, before standing forcefully against it?

Today, we find ourselves confronted by a new enemy, also engaged in a violent struggle to transform our world. As we sleep in the comfort of our homes, a new evil rises against us. A new menace is threatening, with all the means at its disposal, to bow Western Civilization under the yoke of its values. That enemy is Radical Islam.

Using images from Arab TV, rarely seen in the West, Obsession reveals an ‘insider’s view’ of the hatred the Radicals are teaching, their incitement of global jihad, and their goal of world domination. With the help of experts, including first-hand accounts from a former PLO terrorist, a Nazi youth commander, and the daughter of a martyred guerilla leader, the film shows, clearly, that the threat is real.

A peaceful religion is being hijacked by a dangerous foe, who seeks to destroy the shared values we stand for. The world should be very concerned.

Get your copy…host a showing- invite people over and make a night of it. It’s about educating those who don’t understand; it’s about activism and something EACH of us can do.

Forbidden Question

A few weeks ago, I spotted the following, reproduced in its entirety at Eyes All Around:

Can a good Muslim be a good American?

I sent that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.

The following is his reply:

Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.

Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)

Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).

Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).

Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist.

Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually - no. Because when we declare “one nation under God,” the Christian’s God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran’s 99 excellent names.

Therefore after much study and deliberation…. perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both “good” Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish…. it’s still the truth.

If you find yourself intellectually in agreement with the above statements, perhaps you will share this with your friends. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future.

Pass it on Fellow Americans. The religious war is bigger than we know or understand.

From Serge Trifkovic’s The Sword of the Prophet (pages 295-296), emphases mine:

“While it is proper for democratic government to refrain from legislating the practice of religion in any way, Islam is a special case because it is, on its own admission, much more
than ‘just a religion.’ It needs to be understood and subjected to the same supervision and legal restrains that apply to other cults prone to violence, and to violent political hate groups whose avowed aim is the destruction of our order of life.

The collective striving of ‘We the People’ makes no sense unlesss there is a definable ‘people’ to support it. Most Muslim immigrants have no kinship with the striving and no connection to that ‘people,’ except for the unsurprising desire to partake in its wealth. But their deep disdain for the democratic institutions of the host-countries notwithstanding (and just like the members of communist parties before them), Muslim activists in non-Muslim countries invoke those institutions
when they clamor for every kind of indulgence for their own beliefs and customs. They demand full democratic privileges to organze and propagate their views, while acknowledging to each other that, given the power to do so, they would impose their own beliefs and customs, and eliminate all others….’[T]rue Islam’ does not recognize a priori the right of any other religion or world outlook to exist…”

Being or becoming an American involves a lot more that “partaking in wealth.” The
essence of being an American means loving freedom and respecting the rights of others as outlined in our Bill of Rights, particularly the first amendment guaranteeing religious freedom.

On July 20, 2006, the United American Committee posed a challenge, reproduced below in its entirety:

The United American Committee is putting out a challenge to all Islamic leaders with congregations in America to issue religious edicts, also known as ‘fatwas’, against Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri of al Qaeda as apostates to true
Islam and calling for their deaths at the hands of all true Muslims.

LOS ANGELES, CA - July 20, 2006 (UACWIRE) - Osama bin Laden has admitted on videotape he was responsible for 9/11 as has Ayman al Zawahiri. Over 3,000 American died on 9/11 in New York and at the Pentagon at the hands of fanatics that the American Muslim community maintains did not represent true Islam due to the murders of innocent civilians. Those who claim to represent the mainstream Muslim community in America, such as CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations, claim they oppose terrorism and violence.
Others say these groups quietly work as cheering sections for international terrorism. Now, the United American Committee wishes to give the American Muslim community a chance to disprove such notions, and places an open challenge for American Muslim leaders to issue a fatwa against Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri.

The UAC recognizes that a previous fatwa backed by a large number of American Islamic organizations ambiguously declared; “Islam strictly condemns religious extremism and the use of violence against innocent lives,” this fatwa did not condemn any individuals by name, and did not define who is deemed to be innocent. Further, given that Muslims like Sheik Bakri of London declare, “Yes I condemn killing any innocent people, but not any kuffar,” kuffar referring to any non-Muslims, leaves the fatwa greatly open to
interpretation. Therefore, in August of 2005 the United American Committee officially denounced the fatwa and now puts a challenge to American Muslim leaders to issue a true fatwa against the Islamic terrorists Osama bin Laden, Ayman al Zawahiri, and those who support them. The United American Committee believes that most American Muslims do not condone violence or jihad against American soldiers and civilian citizens. In accordance with this, the UAC is offering a true opportunity for all Muslim leaders in the
United States to prove their loyalty to America by issuing a fatwa which encourages the Islamic world to hunt down and kill Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri.

In coming months, the UAC will write to the leaders of Muslim congregations in the United States making this request and will share with the public the responses from each on the UAC website at www.UnitedAmericanCommittee.org. UAC welcomes all patriotic American Muslims to show they are a supportive part of the American community as a whole in the War on Terror.

“This gives Muslim-Americans the same opportunity to stand up for our country as those brave volunteers did in the 442nd Regiment during World War II without actually going into combat,” said UAC Member Peter James, referring to the all Japanese regiment of the U.S. Army in the Second World War. James continued, “If an imam refuses to issue such an edict, one can only assume he does so out of a desire that Osama Bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri not be stopped, and that Al Qaeda’s killing spree is in fact something
that Islamic leaders in America tacitly support. For Islamic leaders who consider themselves patriotic Americans, this should be a no-brainer.”

The UAC’s position is that given the long term nature of the War in Iraq and Afghanistan, and threats to American soldiers over there as well as threats at home, such edicts from American Muslim leaders would also bolster US support abroad in Muslim nations against anti-Americanism by creating a united front with all American Muslims regardless of their views on the war.

The UAC welcomes all Muslim-Americans into its ranks who wish to protect and preserve the United States of America and who do not support the goals of Osama bin Laden, Ayman al Zawahiri or al Qaeda.

Thus far, no American Muslim leaders have come forward in response to the UAC’s challenge. Maybe with more publicity about the above challenge, some American Muslims will come forward as patriotic Americans. If they don’t, then the forbidden question “Can a Muslim be a good American?” takes on urgency.

Checks and Balances

Checks and balances at work:

The US Congress is ready to craft legislation to prosecute Guantanamo war-on-terror prisoners after the government’s plan for military trials was rejected by the Supreme Court, top senators said.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham told the Fox News Sunday television program that Congress could conceivably pass a new law allowing the government to try the prisoners by military commissions by September.

Congress can’t afford to mess this up and I don’t think they will. I think they’ll act quickly on this.

Some interesting thoughts about the Hamden ruling and the Supreme Court:

The Supreme Court’s decision in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld, invalidating for now the use of military commissions to try al Qaeda and associated detainees, may be a setback for U.S. policy in the war on terror. But it is a setback with a sterling silver lining. All eight of the justices participating in this case agreed that military commissions are a legitimate part of the American legal tradition that can, in appropriate circumstances, be used to try and punish individuals captured in the war on terror. Moreover, nothing in the decision suggests that the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay must, or should, be closed.

You wouldn’t go away with this opinion after reading some of the reactions from the left.

Amid all of the antiwar cheering, we should also point out what Hamdan does not do. It does not shut down the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, or question the President’s right to hold unlawful combatants for the duration of hostilities. It also does not apply to most of the prisoners there–only 10 of the roughly 450 Guantanamo detainees are immediately affected by the ruling. And it does not reclassify enemy combatants as ordinary prisoners of war, as many in the European left and ACLU would prefer.

Uh oh. Europe and the ACLU will be speaking a different tune, you can bank on that. The central issue for these leftards - they want the detainees- AKA terrorists- to be treated not only as POW, but as American citizens. It speaks to a mindset that is very warped and in a way, very sick. A terrorist hates life. Americans love life.

Moreover, Hamdan affirms that military commissions are Constitutional and an appropriate part of American law. This would have been hard even for the liberal Justices to deny, given that commissions have been used in some form by strong Presidents in the past, including Washington, Lincoln and FDR.

Presidents past, current and in the future will use military commissions despite the temper tantrums from the left. We hear it all the time- checks and balance. Congress will step up to the plate on this and act in the President’s favor, I predict.

So instead the Court declared that the Pentagon’s current version of military commissions violates Article 36 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which provides guidelines for the rules to be followed by both military commissions and courts martial. The language of Article 36 happens to be broad and deferential to Presidential prerogatives. (Its very title is, “President May Prescribe Rules.”) Yet the Justices found that the Pentagon’s current rules allowed too much hearsay evidence and denied a combatant-defendant’s appearance at some moments at trial.

It’s all about petty little issues. These people, detainees, do not have the rights Americans have. If you think they should have this, you’re dumb and blind and probably a far leftard for sure.

More from Senator Graham (who isn’t one of my favorites BTW):

The court is telling the administration go back to the Congress, work with the Congress,” Graham said.

“I intend to sit down with the administration … to come up with a process that holds terrorists accountable, to give them a fair trial, but to make sure that if they did do the things that we’re alleging, they’re fairly punished,” he said.

“Every enemy prisoner, terrorist, is entitled to be tried in a military commission format, not civilian format.”

Uncivilized animals, terrorists, don’t deserve a civil trial.

Democratic Senator Jack Reed told Fox News that the minority Democrats are likely to cooperate with Republicans and the White House to pass the legislation enabling detainee trials.

“This has to be a process where we understand and recognize that we have to have a legitimate procedure — legitimate in the eyes of the court, legitimate in the eyes of the American people, that we can move quickly to try these individuals and do justice,” Reed said.

We’ll see…I can’t imagine the Democrats doing anything less that what is right here. But then again…look who is holding those offices (Harry Reid, John Kerry…Murtha)

…Graham said he disagreed with the court’s “breathtaking” ruling that Guantanamo prisoners had to be treated fairly based on Article III of the Geneva Conventions, holding that stateless fighters like members of Al-Qaeda don’t deserve Geneva protections.

“The question for this country is, should Al-Qaeda members who do not sign up to the Geneva Convention, who show disdain for it, who butcher our troops, be given the protections of a treaty they’re not part of?” he said.

“My opinion, no. They should be humanely treated, but the Geneva Convention cannot be used in the war on terrorists to give the terrorists an opportunity to basically come at us hard without any restrictions on how we interrogate and prosecute,” Graham argued.

Exactly. This is what it is. Can we afford to keep these terrorists in legal limbo for years- yes- if that’s what it takes to keep them away from our streets and away from the battlefields. Far left voices will scream about this because they see the detainees as human beings who have rights. I see the detainees as terrorists who should be shot. Congress, the President and the courts will come to a position somewhere in between. THAT’s checks and balances.
