Only 10 Percent

Sorry to report this news clip…

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton said in an interview on Wednesday that if elected president she would push for a universal health care plan that would limit what Americans pay for health insurance to no more than 10 percent of their income, a significant reduction for some families.

Yes, but it’s also a significant increase for some of us who aren’t of the high income class people. Oh but wait…I forgot…she’s not about FAIR really. She’s about fair to her well defined idea of who is poor. The rest of us can cough up extra cash to cover these people. It used to be about shared risks. Now it’s about shared paid equal access. One only has to look at MA Health Care to see how this idea sounds good but doesn’t work. At all. The ten percent has already turned into twice that amount, and now businesses are going to be taxed and fined more as well….and they still can’t afford their own mandated health care for everyone.

The Other Reverend Wright

When I was in 5th grade my class did a project about racism. We learned all about the personalities of those who brought forth this issue in American history, and how they came to be who they were. And, what happened to them throughout their lives. Dr. King and others were subjects of study.

Once upon a time there was another Reverend Wright, who stood up for racial justice. With the modern day Rev. Wright, of Obama fame, I see a very different but similar series of events taking place. Racism could end in America, if only those who chose to use it as an excuse for their shortcomings would stop doing so.

Once upon a time, America’s soul was stirred by a brilliant man whose words provoked a national conversation about race, a black man who firmly believed in so-called “social justice”, a man of consequence whose struggles and achievements formed the backdrop of a quintessentially American story.

Who was this man? Not Barack Obama, but the late Richard Wright.

Wright, the author of the iconic 1940 novel Native Son, bore witness to the horrors of the pre-civil-rights South; the anti-black violence of his Mississippi childhood left emotional scars that took decades to heal. Like Obama, Wright settled in Chicago as a young adult and began a long march to national fame; by the mid-1940s, Wright became the most famous African-American author in the United States, a man hailed worldwide for his vivid depictions of racial injustice.

Like Obama, Wright aligned himself with a politically radical entity–in Wright’s case, the American Communist Party. Wright spent years
writing for Communist publications and defending the party’s doctrines. His commitment to Communism was not just professional, but personal; in 1941, shortly after a failed first marriage, he wed Ellen Poplar, a New York Communist Party organizer.

Yet, unlike Obama, Wright gradually opened his eyes to the deep flaws of the radical group he had joined. Wright realized that despite the party’s proclamations of colorblindness, an inflexible racial caste system existed in the organization. He was denounced when he tried to question the party’s orthodoxy, and was rebuked when he raised questions about the treatment of those living in the Soviet Union. Slowly but surely, Wright realized that Communism was oppression disguised as freedom; by the late-1940s, he had severed his ties to the Communist Party.

Wright remained a liberal until the end of his life, but he understood that Communism was poisonous, corrosive, dangerous to the ideals of freedom upon which his vision of liberalism stood. He was loathed by former Communist colleagues for his apostasy, but he never apologized for seeing the truth behind Communism’s lie.

Obama and Hillary and their supporters are seeking a form of communism for America. They’re using examples of social injustice as reasons for this. Do we ever learn from our history? Do liberals even know of it? I don’t think so. Why does a conservative author such as D.R. Tucker write and remind some of us about the other Rev. Wright? Why the silence from those on the left? Do they not want this history recalled and it’s lesson’s re-taught? I think so.

Bill Gates & Cheap Labor

Microsoft’s Bill Gates is a tool. Yesterday he testified before Congress about the need for foreign workers in the high tech field…and a lot of people are speaking out on this issue, which is full of myths (as usual when it comes to immigrants and US jobs).

First of all, Gates claims “…Microsoft has found that for every H-1B hire we make, we add on average four additional employees to support them in various capacities.”

Yes, Microsoft hires a professional foreigner, cheaper that a comparable US worker then hires that foreigner lower level support staff.

In other words, the professional job goes to a cheap foreigner instead of an American and then the low level support jobs go to Americans. And, those four lower level jobs would also be needed if the professional were an American. The net result is that one out of five jobs, and the best one, goes to a foreigner.

I’ve always questioned these claims from the tech industry. Knowing so many people who have the education and skills, who are not employed in this field, makes me question the true motives behind all this rhetoric. I believe it all comes down to cheap labor and high profits, at all costs including American jobs.

Human Life vs Human Rights

The whining and temper tantrums have begun, again. In earnest.

WASHINGTON — Democrats and human rights advocates criticized President Bush’s veto Saturday of a bill that would have banned the CIA from using simulated drowning and other coercive interrogation methods to gain information from suspected terrorists.

Bush said such tactics have helped foil terrorist plots. His critics likened some methods to torture and said they sullied America’s reputation around the world.

Yeah…well our reputation is only as good as our ability to survive attacks and acts of war against us. Prior to 9-11-01, much of the world viewed the US as an impotent giant. Much to the Democrats and others’ pleasure.

“Were it not for this program, our intelligence community believes that al-Qaida and its allies would have succeeded in launching another attack against the American homeland,” the president said.

I agree. While some people cry like babies about how water boarding is harmful to human beings, I can only imagine what the people who were inside the WTC buildings were thinking on the morning of September 11 2001.

I dare to say, if they knew, they would have much preferred to be water boarded than pulverized to death in the collapse of those towers.

Heck, I bet they would have preferred we water boarded those 19 Islamafreakoids had we suspected such an attack was being plotted and soon carried out.

But who cares about them? Not Democrats. Or human rights advocates. Fuck no. A few thousand lives here and there are the price to pay for being…humane… and we should view these lives as an expendable price for human rights.

“The president’s refusal to sign this crucial legislation into law will undermine counterterrorism efforts globally and delay efforts to rebuild U.S. credibility on human rights,” said Elisa Massimino, Washington director for Human Rights First.

May I ask? Who the fuck gives a shit about the human rights of people who have no respect for humanity? When we are at a point in time where the rights of criminals and terrorists take precedent over their potential victims, we’re in sad times for sure.

Advice for Mr. McCain

Some advice for John McCain?

NEW ORLEANS — John McCain got mixed reviews today from some of the conservative movement’s top donors and leaders after he addressed — then took questions from — members of the secretive Council for National Policy.

Secretive? Who are these people???

Janice Crouse of Concerned Women for America said she asked him about the nearly 40 percent of women in America who bear children out of wedlock and how he would address that problem.

“His response was to say his pro-life record [in Congress] answered that,” Mrs. Crouse said. “Well, I’m proud of his pro-life record, but this is not a pro-life issue but of promoting marriage and the idea that children belong within marriage, so I was not happy with his response.”

She has a point…but I don’t necessarily agree with her.

“On the other hand, he will not find an electorate that is inspired, that will plant signs in their yards, that will mobilize their neighbors and do everything they can to get him elected. They will go to the polls, and that is about it,” she said.

That about sums up the spirit of so many who will back McCain…they will do so without any cheering.

Unless, she added, “he chooses a strong social conservative vice presidential candidate.” Because she represents a nonprofit organization, she could not mention anyone specifically to fill that bill.

However, she has been known to admire former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson, both of whom also sought the Republican nomination this year.

AHHH! NO…not the Huckster, puLEEze. I could stand Fred, and his presence in this would ignite the fires of A LOT of people.

Anti American Judgements

Ruling by politics isn’t a good thing. It never has been and is extremely anti American.

A California judge rejected a foster teen’s request for early enlistment with the Marine Corps — and a $10,000 signing bonus — reportedly on the grounds that the judge didn’t approve of the Iraq war.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Marilyn Mackel denied 17-year-old Shawn Sage’s request to join the military last October, according to a report in the Los Angeles Daily News.

“The judge said she didn’t support the Iraq war for any reason we’re over there,” Marine recruiter Sgt. Guillermo Medrano of the Simi Valley U.S. Marine Corps recruiting office told the paper.

“She just said all recruiters were the same — that they ‘all tap dance and tell me what I want to hear.’ She said she didn’t want him to fight in it.”

The kid is going to join the Marines in June- so the judge here had little impact.

Democrats for McCain; Republicans for Obama

Evidence of Republicans turning left is growing. There’s a twist here too- Democrats coming right.

Who they gonna vote for?

McCainocrats vs. Obamacans?

The two new political demographics — like Soccer moms and NASCAR dads before them — are quickly emerging as the potential election-busters of the 2008 presidential race.

And contrary to conventional wisdom, numbers emerging from polls and primary results show that Sen. John McCain — who has alienated conservatives as he courts independents and moderate Democrats — holds an advantage over Sen. Barack Obama in the race for crossover votes.

There are now more McCainocrats than Obamacans — about 14 percent of Democrats say they would vote for Mr. McCain today instead of Mr. Obama, but just 8 percent of Republicans say they would vote for the Illinois Democrat, according to a Pew Research Center survey on Feb. 28.

Cause for concern???

Additionally, 20 percent of white Democratic voters say they would defect to Mr. McCain if Mr. Obama is the Democratic Party’s nominee — twice the number who would cross over if Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton wins the nomination, Pew found.

Interesting numbers. I trust them too…of the couple of handfuls of liberal friends I have, not a one of them will cast a vote for the ObOmb or the ChillPill. McCain’s their man. Why? They don’t trust the Democratic candidates to get it right, for them or the country right now. It’s the 3am phone call factor.

Congress Should Pick It’s Battles and Baseball Shouldn’t Be One of Them

Who is this lawmaker? He’s a Democrat and lo and beho, he makes sense!

WASHINGTON (AP) - A Democratic congressman asked the FBI on Wednesday to drop its investigation of Roger Clemens because the pitching great had suffered enough from the probe into steroid use.

Rep. Anthony Weiner, a candidate for New York mayor in 2009, said the FBI is too busy with more important crimes to spend time trying to determine if the ex-Yankees pitcher lied to Congress about taking performance enhancing substances.

“Roger Clemens has been shamed. I think the public record is replete with examples of how he did not likely tell the truth. What is the public benefit of continuing with an FBI investigation?” Weiner said.

Weiner also suggested his fellow lawmakers had gone far enough with inquiries into steroids use by professional athletes and should let professional sports league handle the matter.

“The real incentive to clean up this mess is not a governmental one,” said Weiner, a Mets fan whose district includes parts of Queens and Brooklyn.

Absolutely! Congress should not be meddling in the world of sports. The FBI has enough to worry about. Let’s get away from this petty stuff and get back to serious work.

Senate GOP Shows It’s Spine

Michelle Malkin points to an article that made me smile this morning. Senate Republicans are introducing a series of bills designed to make the lives of illegal immigrants a little less free and easy. I like it.

WASHINGTON - Senate Republicans are set to announce Wednesday the hardest-hitting package of immigration enforcement measures seen yet — one that would require jail time for illegal immigrants caught crossing the border, make it harder for them to open bank accounts and compel them to communicate in English when dealing with federal agencies.
[…]
Other bills in the package would:

• Block federal funding from cities that bar their police from asking about immigration status.

• Give the Department of Homeland Security the authority to use information from the Social Security Administration to target illegal immigrants.

• Require construction of 700 miles of fencing along the Southern border, not including vehicle barriers.

• Impose sanctions on countries that refuse to repatriate their citizens.

• Deport any immigrant, legal or illegal, for one drunken-driving conviction.

• Enable local and state police to enforce federal immigration laws

Of course the Lemoncrats have decried this:

Jim Manley, a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said the Republican proposal “falls far short of what is needed.” Democrats want to combine enforcement with a guest-worker program and a way to deal with the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants. Reid “continues to support legislation that is tough on people who break the law, fair to taxpayers and practical to implement,” Manley said.

Yeah…

And since McCain has become the GOP candidate, chances are fairly slim anything really substantive will be done. But we can dream:

f McCain endorsed the Senate package, that could “create a platform for McCain to look tough on immigration, create distance from Ted Kennedy and erect a shield around the amnesty charge,” Kelley said.

All we’re asking for is illegal immigrants be stopped from using up our resources, from taking our jobs and destroying our culture. I guess it’s too much to expect…we pesky Americans are selfish.

Paint It Black

Some black is sinister black; other black is natural black…and it all has to do with Democrats playing the race card at every opportunity they can.

How immature they all are. Get over it people. Grow up and focus on what’s important in this election cycle. Oh wait…I forgot..I’m talking about Liberals- who have nothing of substance to focus on. Except this race factor.

DON’T TREAD ON ME: A recalcitrant NH Citizens Speaks

Here in New Hampshire we have a saying, that is often quoted by many:

DON’T TREAD ON ME.
These words go back many decades.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Well the federal government is trying to tread on NH, trying to take away freedom with petty threats and fear mongering.

WASHINGTON — Homeland Security officials are pushing recalcitrant states to adopt stricter driver’s license standards to end a standoff that could disrupt domestic air travel.

States have less than a month to send a letter to the Homeland Security Department seeking an extension to comply with the Real ID law passed following the 2001 terror attacks. Some states have resisted, saying it is costly, impractical and an invasion of privacy.

Four states — Maine, Montana, New Hampshire and South Carolina — have yet to seek an extension.

WTF is this? —> recalcitrant < ---????

Recalcitrant?? Like we’re just being naughty and non compliant. Like little children.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

No. This is about each state’s right to buck the federal government over-reaching rulings and stupid ideas.

..such as this REAL ID ACT bulloney. Make no mistake about this- it’s a dumb idea and it won’t prevent attacks. The thought is if every American or those who have the rights of American citizens would be forced to carry upon them an ID that uses federal guildlines for verifying the documents used to get the ID. Each state currently has it’s own requirements for ID’s- and some claim this makes it easier for terrorists to get state issued ID’s. Perhaps this is true. Having 50 different sets of requirements is confusing for sure…but hey, the federal government has endless resources to keep it all straight.

I got news for people:
ANYONE can get a fake birth certificate, online, for about 20.00, that not only looks and feels real, but is notarized and signed and sealed and delivered to any address…anyone, including terrorists, can get this and every other document they want, or need, to get the so called REAL ID. Thus, making the entire REAL ID mantra not as real as the DHS wants everyone to believe.

Since the REAL ID only applies to US territories, the threat of flight delays and problems is overblown. I would proudly go through secondary screening, if my federal government requires this, in order to get on a domestic flight. Of course this would be another huge waste of money, this second line bullshit. The DHS loves wasting money.

Another quote we New Hampshire people like:
LIVE FREE OR DIE.

Why should NH citizens, and those of ALL states, have to comply with stupid federal government laws that do nothing to protect the people? Why can’t the federal government just do the right thing (and that would be to subject those who fit the profile of our known terrorists) to more scrutiny? Why do law abiding, tax paying decent people have to pay the price for an overly politically correct government?

Sharia Creep and the Cancer of the World

Muslims don’t wish to cause any trouble in the world. They have no desire to spread their religion of peace to any and all corners of the Earth. We have nothing to fear. Says who? Why…Muslims silly! That’s who. And since there have been no repeats of September 11th, we must believe and trust these people.

Leftard/Lemomcrat Rule Number One:
Terrorism at the hands of radical Islam is not a threat. Therefore any War on Terror isn’t real or viable or workable. No planes have been used as bombs since 9-11; no nuclear weapons have detonated over our cities. We’re…safe. We have nothing to worry about.

Meanwhile in all corners of the world a global effort is underway, by Muslims, to change the way of life for many free countries. It’s happening as I type…as you read this…as liberal governments of every nation choose to adapt and alter and surrender the values and tenants of freedom. All in the name of cultural respect, tolerance and good will.

In Australia, Muslim students (mostly Saudi citizens) asked Melbourne universities to adjust class times to fit in with their daily prayers. They also requested female-only recreational areas on campus.
[…]
Meanwhile, on February 26, local officials in Zwolle, Holland decided to lift a ban on Muslim women wearing so-called “burkinis” in public swimming pools. The garment, also known as a hijood, leaves only the wearer’s face, hands and feet exposed.
[…]Closer to home, Harvard University announced new women-only access times at the student gym, to “accommodate religious customs that make it difficult for some students to work out in the presence of men.”

The other day I found an article about how Muslim med students in Britain are refusing to follow proven sanitary and infection control practices, perhaps adding to a huge problem with the spreading of diseases in Britain. The reason the med students are refusing to wash their lower arms after surgeries is because (guess…) it exposes flesh to members of the opposite sex.

What is going on with all this?

“It’s all part of the campaign of soft jihad,” wrote Roger Kimball, editor of The New Criterion. “Traditional jihad is waged with scimitars and their contemporary equivalents, e.g., stolen Boeing 767s, which make handy instruments of mass homicide. Soft jihad is a quieter affair: it uses and abuses the language and the principles of democratic liberalism not to secure the institutions and attitudes that make freedom possible but, on the contrary, to undermine that freedom and pave the way for self-righteous, theocratic intolerance.”

Is there anything a Muslim isn’t offended by?

Are they any places where they don’t demand some change or alteration? The CHIPS portion of Britain’s famous fish and chips have come under the eye of Muslim scrutiny, and it’s just ridiculous:

Senior Muslim figures have said that they are shocked that a number of Walkers snacks contain traces of alcohol and eating them is therefore against their religion.

Again I ask: Is there anything a Muslim isn’t offended by?

Is this sharia creep? And will we allow it to spread like an virulent, nasty disease? Europe is highly infected right now…it may be too late to eradicate this disease over there. Canada and Australia are on the brink, and America’s political will power is about to take a soft balled approach (if a Democrat is elected in November). Remember folks: There are no vaccinations and pills to cure this disease- Islam. Once it takes hold, it is like cancer. It spreads to all aspects of life; it feeds off damaged cells as it destroys the healthy ones…eventually it kills the whole being.

Mrs. Obomination

The ObOmb. His wife could become his worst enemy when it comes to his Presidential ambitions. She could become a magnet for negative attention from her own party, much like Hillary become for Billy.

IF MICHELLE Obama isn’t careful, she could get the Hillary Clinton treatment, circa 1992.

The spouse of then-presidential candidate Bill Clinton was featured in a “Nightline” segment that began with these words from host Ted Koppel: “Meet the new political wife. She has a career, she has opinions. A partner in every way. . . . And now, she’s become controversial.”

Right now, Barack Obama’s wife is as much a media favorite as her husband, the presidential candidate. Her predebate advice to Obama - “Feel, don’t think” - is portrayed as political genius. A Newsweek cover story describes a smart, well-grounded woman, with an inspirational life story who is “neither Stepford booster nor surrogate campaign manager. ” Her independence and outspokenness are viewed as virtues, at least for now.

With all her anti-American rhetoric she keeps spewing, people might start to wonder if there’s any HOPE. And make no mistake about it, this isn’t independence and outspokenness- this is speaking the language of the new Democrats. The party line. America isn’t something to be proud of. I advise her to keep spewing. It’ll come back to haunt her White House ambitions.

President Bush on the ObOmB

In many ways, I’m going to miss President Bush.

I have issues with President Bush. I don’t agree at all with some of his policies. But when it comes to foreign policy and tyrant leaders in the world, he stands heads over tails taller than just about any other person. Especially Barack ObOmB.
